Devi Booties by Maitreya

Earlier today, Maitreya released the mesh Devi Bootie, a short laced boot. The detailing on these boots is incredible, down to the stitched seam on the back of the boot. The leather texture is similar to that from the previously released Radical Boot, but since it's a shorter boot, I think the leather is less "oh my gosh" real. This is Maitreya's third mesh shoe, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

Devi is available in 11 lush leathers - Rose, Brown, Faded Teal, Aubergine, Olive, Plum, Rust, Redwood, Chamoisee, Black, and Oil. Purchase individually, or as a fatpack, and get all standard sizes XS through L.

So yeah... this is yet another boot post from me. Darn you, creators! Stop making such cute boots! Appropriately named, the mesh Radical boots from Maitreya are, well, radical. As part of Maitrya's first mesh release, these boots do not disappoint! The leather textures are amazingly realistic and the slouches are just perfect.

Choose between soft leather and reptile leather in black, caramel, chestnut, rust, snow, cerulean, coffee, red, sienna, smoke, or, if you're like me - fatpack one or both leather sets. There are rigged and unrigged versions included, along with a resizer HUD for the unrigged version. The rigged versions include four sizes. Since they're mesh, be sure to demo these boots to ensure they fit.

As I'm typing this, I realize this is my third boot post in a row. Maybe it's the cooler weather in real life, but really, I think it's just that the boots being released are just amazing. Today Gospel Voom of Gos released the absolutely stunning sculpted Amelia Aviator boots. (A version of these boots called Yeager was also released, so guys, don't feel left out!) Gos has really outdone himself with these boots. The textures and details are so realistic, especially the worn leather. There are five colors - Black, Camel, Chocolate, Tan, and Worn - each used at least once in my pictures because they are all just gorgeous. The metal detailing is colored to coordinate each individual leather and there is a tight and loose option for wearing.

Another option included are socks. You can choose to show the socks in one of sixteen colors or hide the socks to completely customize your look. Aviators... Engineer boots... whatever you want to call them, you want these boots and you want to fatpack them.

Nardcotix Iceli Spiked Stilettos

I've been wearing Nardcotix's Iceli Spiked Stilettos for the last couple of weeks and I have to say, they are my new favorite shoes of the moment. Nardcotix creates wonderful shoes and when they had a small sale I couldn't resist purchasing a couple of pairs to add to my shoe collection. If you haven't taken the time to visit Nardcotix I suggest you do, the shoes are wonderful and can't be passed up.

What I fell in love with most about these stilettos are the metal studs that surround the shoe as well as the bow highlighting the front. To me these shoes have the perfect amount of edgy style to them which made it only natural to wear when I began looking for a shoe to accessorize the Metallic Corset Dress from Nylon Outfitters.

The Iceli spiked Stiletto is available as full spike version (not shown) as a separate purchase. The full spike version is slightly different because the studs are all over the shoe and are black rather than metalic. Both versions of the shoe are available in ten color options.

Meet Charlotte

As the weather gets cooler for many of us in the real world, SL seasons seem to change as well. Lately the most amazing boots have been created by some of SL's most well-known creators. What's more exciting though, is when a brand new store emerges. On Friday, a new store called Haberdashery opened and the Charlotte Riding Boots were part of its inaugural release.

Available in six colors - Black, Chestnut, Grey, Natural, Mahogany, and Walnut - these belted boots are a great start for the brand. The Charlotte Riding Boots are sculpted and include a plain boot as well as a socked version. My favorite is the Mahogany leather... It's just so rich looking. The one thing I'd like to see is the shoe part of the boot to be a little taller and a little less flat. The colors of these boots are rich and gorgeous - a great way to round out Haberdashery's casual collection. I can't wait to watch this brand grow!

Nina by Insolence

Nina is the newly released mesh, knee-high boot from Insolence. These boots are just gorgeous and look like buttery leather with a classic silhouette and stacked heel. They are mesh and come in three sizes - small, medium, and large. The medium sized boots fit me perfectly. Mesh has really improved the look of boots in SL. They move with the avatar legs in poses and are one fluid piece.

Nina is available in six colors - black, brown, cream, pink, purple, and white. These boots are perfect for wearing with jeans, skirts, and just about anything else you can think of. I've gone more casual with a sweater and jeans from Mon Tissu, accessorized with the amazing Chaos ensemble from MOOD.

Viva la Vintage

A long time ago, when I first discovered Second Life, my real life twin sister and I came up with the notion of opening our very own Retro themed burlesque club, a classy joint that would be as much about friends as it was about great music, PIN UPS was soon born. At that time there were a few retro designers in SL; Antonia Marat of artilleri, Nefaria Abel of Ivalde, and new up and comer, Betty Doyle of Ingenue, were among the best. We realized very early on, that combining our love of retro fashion with our night club was a winning choice, and it wasn't long before the idea mushroomed into a labour of love named Retrology.

My retro roots run deep, and my love of the vintage designers, new and old, in SL has never diminished. With the opening of Vintage Fair, CHIC Management's daring new venture, it gives me great pleasure to see that despite the fact that Retrology is long gone, Vintage and our love of it, is still very much alive!

What I was hungering for, some new vintage inspired heels, Esther in 4 beautiful shades, were delivered to me this afternoon from the hands of the talented Nardya Rousselot of Nardcotix. She manage to stop me in my tracks when she also delivered this gorgeous dress and chapeau too! An outfit that was just too easy to put together with a little help from Caroline's Jewelry, Curio and oOo Studios poses, all new releases that can be found at Vintage Fair 2011!

I urge you to embrace retro in SL, and pay the fair a visit or two over the next few weeks, there are so many lovely creations to explore, not just women's fashion, but also men's clothing and hair, home decor and novelties. Fall into the Glitter

Earlier this week, Siddean Munro of SLink released the absolutely gorgeous Glitter Peeptoe pumps. There really seems to be a vintage trend going on right now in the SL fashion community and these pumps are the perfect finishing touch. They are sparkly and feminine and just oh so cute. These shoes are mesh which means you need to be in a viewer that supports mesh in order to view them properly. They are available in eleven colors as well as a fatpack. The individual colors include two bow color options - matching and black - but the fatpack allows for complete customization by allowing you to mix and match all eleven colors. HUDs are included for resize/skin matching/nail color, nail tinting, size tweaking and the fatpack includes a HUD for bow and shoe texture changing.

I love these shoes so much. Before you try to match your skin tone to these shoes, you definitely will want to check out Siddean's tutorial video on how to quickly and easily get a perfect match. The video was easy to follow along with and I was able to get a really good match on my skin. Obviously you can't expect the shading and highlighting of the skin and foot to be identical, but using the blender layers that are included with the shoes really helps with this. The tinting was the quick part for me thanks to the video, but getting the correct sizing took me awhile. As you can see, a good fit is attainable with time and patience - and these shoes are totally worth that.

I went "Kookie" for These Shoes!

I want to apologize for my little break from blogging lately. Things in real life had caught up with me, but I am planning on spending a little more time back in Second Life again! Yay ;)

My main inspiration for this outfit and why I purchased these lovely shoes I am wearing...is because I fell in love with the new dress from /artilleri/ and needed some fabulous footwear to show it off properly! These Kookie pumps saved the day! I love everything about them, they are retro enough to pull off this look, but modern enough to wear with updated looks as well. A Little Bit of Magic

I am slowly embracing Mesh, it took me a while, I am typically cautious and wary of viewer updates and often wait till the kinks are worked out before I buy in to the hype. Here I am, a believer, and although I don't think Mesh is anywhere near it's full potential in SL fashion, there are glimmers of greatness and some very beautiful applications of the technology. Lucky for me, Nardya Rousselot of Nardcotix has released her first pair of Mesh shoes, these beyond amazing NX Zoe Platforms, they posses a sophistication and timeless oxford style that cannot be ignored. They are pure magic.

Kalnins is Back!

Kalnins Footwear gives us Kvinto wedge booties, a slightly futuristic pair, with individual colorable parts and a unique profile that have me mentally preparing myself for what will soon be dozens of fabulous boot releases, like I see every Fall. I wasn't exactly sure what style would suit these best, until I checked out Collabor88 and these amazing separates from The Sea Hole were just spot on.

The hair is a bit of the recent awesomeness from Truth, this style is called Lilia, I love the new darker roots variations and effortless tresses. I added a pair of half gloves, tinted to match, and for a little something extra I went for the unexpected look of oversized Marta pearls from Donna Flora.

Still Heeling

On the heels (pun intended) of Modavia Fashion Week, Donna Flora impressed with her gorgeous jewelry, fashion outfits and gowns, this week Nardcotix presented these fantastic Shana Pumps in a Color Fusion series, which logically made for perfect pairing! I love to celebrate the beautiful things, and Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora, not to mention the consistently stylish Nardya Rousselot of NX-Nardcotix, certainly give me reason to share!

As Fall Fashion begins to flood the SL Fashion Feeds, my love of coats was ignited again by this Helena Peach Jacket and chunky turtle necked sweater/skirt combination. An amazing all in one outfit that includes detailed broach on the oversized jacket lapel and holey tights that up the modern feel of these classic pieces. I added a hot studded satchel by A-Bomb, along with some more Donna Flora Accessories, the great new 'Blue' Onyx earrings and a sassy cocktail ring. That sweet skin is a sneak peak of the soon to be released PXL by Hart Larsson, I am sure you will be seeing more of it soon.

The shoes offer sophisticated textures and color combinations, (check them out in-store to see the glorious cerise, aqua and orange... and more) but also offer stylish neutrals that suited the Donna Flora Helena outfit perfectly. MIEL- Puddle Boots

Last week during Fifty Linden Friday I found a treat that I had to share with all of you, Miel's Puddle Boot. These boots gave me a case of the,"Look at my Shoes" because they are really well done. Actually it's an understatement to say they are well done, they are fantastic in their design. Both the texture and sculpts are breathtaking and have excellent quality and detail.

Three aspects of the Puddle Boot can be customized, The Body, Trim and Sole. There are a total of eight colors choices and if my math is correct it makes 24 color combination available for this boot. I apologize for not showing all of them to you but I'm sure you can understand it's just an abundant amount to share. The Puddle Boot is available in main color versions, Naturals (shown above) and Brights. My favorite part of the Puddle Boot is the ridges along the sole of the shoe and buckle strapped across the boot. I also enjoy the shape of the boot as it becomes wider towards your calf.

Footwear Favorites 1- The Pump

I love new shoes just as much as the next SL fashionista, but sometimes I find myself clinging to older releases to which, for some reason or other, I have become attached. So consider this a challenge of sorts. Basically once every week or two, I'll post my favorite in a certain category with the hopes that the lovely ladies here at On Your Toes will post theirs. I'd love to see others do this as well, so if you want to participate, please leave a comment with your post! It could be a great way to find new and lesser known stores as well as see the diversity SL has to offer.

This week's "category" is the Pump. So let's see your favorite close-toed, heeled shoes that no woman should be without.

One of my favorites are the Eve Flower Pumps from G*Field. Reasonably priced and scripted to color change and hide the flowers on each shoe, they're a great value for a plain pump that can be embellished a bit for other occasions. I've paired them with this simple Coquette dress from Icing for a flirty look along with some new ruby jewelry from Paper Couture.

Going Up…

Through the several years that I've been in SL I've always looked forward what Paper Couture might dream up next. Whether it is Ball Gowns that are so lovely they steal your breath or accessories that are must haves - each piece is a work of art all on its own.

So when the new Fall/Winter collection was launched for Modavia Fashion week The elevation booties caught my eye. The textures are out of this world and the heel is delicately arched to point into a stiletto. An amazing addition to your Second Life shoe wardrobe.
The Elevations booties are sculpted and are available in the colors Gold, Black, Beige, Black/White Toe, and Red. You can demo the Elevation booties at the store and while you are there you may as well pick up the fat pack, (because yes, fat pack is a color) and you will have a collection of amazing footwear!

The dress that I am wearing is also from the new line at Paper Couture. The Moira dress is definitely a head turner located in the center of the Paper Couture store it caught my eye. I shortened it a bit to conform it to my own style but it did not compromise the feminine beauty of this gown. What I love most about this gown is the fitted bodice with black lace and an under layer of nude silk that fits and moves most sensually against my skin. The waist is met with black rosettes all around and then poofs out to a full skirt of gauzy golden fabric all around! Simply enchanted and sure to bewitch!

Siddean Munro of SLink has really been treating us with her mesh creations. The latest is the Astrid Boot, a gorgeous ankle boot featuring a high stiletto heel and criss-crossed straps. Astrid is available in 16 beautiful colors/textures, but I recommend springing for the fatpack because it is scripted to allow for mixing and matching all 16 colors. This makes for a ton of combinations that will go with virtually anything!

Astrid includes a HUD that allows for resize and color change on the fatpack. These boots are just gorgeous, versatile and a great addition to your SL wardrobe. As mesh, the Astrid Boots require Viewer 3 or another viewer that supports mesh.

*Sneaks in* Oh, hi! Did you think I forgot that I blog here too? I didn't, promise! I would see all the lovely blogs from the beautiful women who blog here and think, "get on the ballllll!!" and then I would go eat candy or something. Anyway, I am here now in perfect time to blog Gos' new release!

The brand new Storm Sandals are gorgeous! They are a cut out platform that demand attention. Seriously, could you ignore a woman who walked into the room wearing these? Let me answer that... NO! The Storm Sandal is sexy, dramatic and so so well made. The foot tinting hud was incredibly easy to use and I was able to unpack and tint within about 10 minutes.

There is no end to the talent of Gos Voom and his eye for detail. Beautiful, beautiful work and guess what else? TONS of options! You can buy the shoe in one color or you can fat pack. I cannot imagine anyone NOT fatpacking and let me tell you why....fatpack boasts that there are123 billion possible combinations, meaning it could take you 4,000 years to try them all! I told Gos that maybe I could switch very quickly between them and he said that estimate was based on switch time of 1 second. Oh. Okay. Maybe not.

The first thing that comes to mind when you think of Elikatira is probably hair, but Elikapeka Tiramisu has also released footwear. Back in the ETD days, she had quite a collection of shoes and hopefully will continue that trend with Elikatira. Go Bare with Maitreya!

It's not always about having fierce shoes... sometimes a girl just wants to have pretty feet. The avatar foot has to be one of the ugliest body parts. Even with a great skin, the foot is still awful. Enter in the prim foot. There have been several prior to Maitreya's new bare feet, but I have to say these are my favorite.

Like all Maitreya Gold shoes, a HUD is included for skin and nail matching along with an up to date notecard with values for a number of skins. Also included are anklets for each ankle and scripted toe-rings. The Maitreya Bare Feet are available in tip toe and flat foot versionsand make me want to wander the grid barefoot all the time.

With this being my first post here at “On Your Toes” I thought it fitting to showcase of the most delicious shoes as of late I have had the pleasure of wriggling my pixel toes into – the Sock & Tights version of Salience by Maitreya – shown in Liquorice.

I am really very pushy, I like to push talented creators to do what they do best, and that includes making me new shoes to wear. Lyanis Sin of Lya had been playing hookie for quite some time when I caught her online and begged her to make something new, she finally agreed and not too long after she delivered to me the most adorable flats, called Elika, which are really something special.

What I love about the Elika Flats is the proportion, Lyanis manages to deliver a pretty flat that doesn't make me look like a giant with munchkin feet, while utilizing the viewer 2 alpha layer, the flats are a decent length and width that will work on 'taller' avys as well as child and shorter ones. The color palate is muted and fresh, with a color change bow that can create a subtle effect or a more eye catching embellishment depending on your taste.

Kitty Flats from The Kid Company

When Katey Coppola announced that she was going to start creating clothing I knew it was going to be fantastic because Katey has such a discerning eye when she creates her poses for Glitterati. Katey has now two stores dedicated to clothing, The Kid Company and Petticoat Lane. Katey teased us in Plurk and on her flickr stream by showing us pictures of her creations before their release. When I first saw these Kitty Flats I knew that I would have to take the opportunity to blog them.

Kitty Flats are from, "The Kid Company" and are perhaps the cutest shoe I have seen in a while in Second Life. Originally the Kitty Flats are tailored to children, but I think they are perfectly suited for everyone. Available in nine colors the simplistic design is made more complex with the addition of ears and eyes. What I find most lovable about the Kitty Flats is the inside of the pink ears which adds a subtle cuteness and matches all color versions of the Kitty Flat. Moderately priced at only 75L per pair these shoes are a total WIN. I highly recommend these flats for anyone that enjoys a casual cute look.

Maitreya YaXkin

Today Maitreya had a huge shoe release, including the YaXkin sandal. If you're a Maitreya fan, it may look a little familiar to you as it is basically a flat version of Maitreya's IXkin heel from a year or so ago.

YaXkin is a great sandal and can be worn with pretty much anything - dresses, pants, skirts, shorts. I love that it is a flat, casual but pretty shoe. Sometimes heeled sandals seem a bit too much for summer shorts, so this is a great alternative. YaXkin is available in a ton of colors and comes with the usual Maitreya Shoe HUD for skintone matching and nail polish tinting.

Here I've paired YaXkin with a modified version of the belted tunic from So Many Styles. Great as a shirt, I modified the tunic to be a swimsuit cover-up. I've kept the accessories natural with the great Cue set from Miel.

Standing Tall in SLink

I know you've missed seeing my pretty little toes for a few days, so I am back in the Shaz Platform from SLink, a nice high thong wedge. It comes in great textile options and colors, a few of which are shown here. Cute embellishments like the sunny floral details and even a tribute to Kermit, a fun little frog that clings to the strap, and fabric or woven soles, are great optionals.

I adore the updated SLink HUD and the nail polish options included, you will find that getting a great match is very important, and although the join to the avatar leg is very nicely designed, depending on the leg highlight on the skin you wear, you will likely see a subtle shift in tone. I found the slight difference was not enough to worry about, and certainly from normal viewing distance, barely noticeable. I love the look of these shoes!

What is bright, patent and python, all at the same time? The new Fergie Python shoes from Mentine, that's what. The Fergie Python by Valentine Biddle, come in a rainbow of glossy bright patent leathers, with mix and match multi-tonal python straps, nice nail polish shades and more. A eye catching chunky heeled sandal with two or three python strap design, the straps come lined with a secondary softly colored shade that peeks out enough to be seen on closer inspection.

I have discovered new shops at the new Everwilde Sim that my friends Bowie and Valen have created. One new favorite shop of mine is called Argyle Anonymous: I simply couldn't resist buying up everything I could get my greedy paws on! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Swan Ling and I can tell you all of the items are very reasonably priced for the quality of the items. I found these shoes, and fell in love with them, they are color change with several options...pretty much your one-stop-shop for a pair of flats.

The Mother of All Wedges

Most of Second Life is knee deep in star spangled bikinis and butt crack baring denim, but I felt the distinct need to class up the joint with something girly and frothy and elegant, just for a little while. Shoe Fair 2011 may seem like a distant memory, but there are still treasures left over from the big event, now safely displayed in their main stores. One of these finds is the extensive line of Maxine footwear from Baiastice.

Sissy Pessoa gave us platforms, sandals and super high heels, and my personal favorites, the Maxine Wedges, all with a nice looking prim foot and user hud. The unique looking Mother of Pearl ones are my definite favorites, with an unexpected texture that combines the understated glitz of silver and pearl like lustre. It was easy to complete my look with a pretty black dress, also from Baiastice, some of the incredible accessories from MOOD by Jori Watler, and one of the fantastic new hairs from exile.

Now it's back to our regularly scheduled programming of tan summer skin and skimpy bikinis, just be sure to enjoy being a girl once in a while.

Une Magnifique Nuit

The other night I found myself at Paper Couture doing some late night shopping when I fell in love with the Bow Soiree Platform Wedge. I knew immediately that I had to blog and share these beauties because they are so delicate and feminine which makes them a perfect summer wedge.

The Bow Soiree Platform Wedge has a tall wooden heel that is uniquely shaped to accent the natural curve and arch of your foot. My favorite parts of the wedge are the two bows (located on the front and side) that draw out the feminine mystique. This wedge is just so cute and it's playful appearance makes it versatile and ideal for dressing up or for sporting something casual.

The Bow Soiree Platform Wedge is available in four colors, White, black, brown and gold. Each shoe is 400L while a fatpack containing all four shoes are 1200L. If you are looking for a nice wedge I recommend taking a trip to Paper Couture and trying a demo.

Summer just got a whole lot better, your must have flip flop has arrived courtesy of Maitreya Gold. We've seen flip flops in SL many times, even some great ones with prim feet, but these pretty much raise the bar in their design and quality. You will love the color choices, and the extras; 3 styles of detailed anklets, printed and plain insoles, toe rings with metal options, pretty nail colors, and a new style of ankle join that makes them easier to wear seamlessly.

The HUD is the traditional 'Maitreya Gold' standard HUD, but you will find that color matching is more important than with many other styles, it may take a few extra minutes to get the perfect match. Onyx (LeShelle) has included a notecard with updated skin tones to make matching easier, but in case yours is not listed it might take a bit longer... it is well worth the effort, and once you match your tone you are guaranteed a carefree Summer filled with casual goodness!

If you are not likely to FatPack these babies then make a color choice that you truly love, and don't stress too much about being able to match everything in your inventory, like with a real life shoe purchase, sometimes you buy a pair just because the color is fun, and summer shoes are all about fun. These will go with everything, especially if you factor in the practically unlimited bead and string color combinations, you can come up with some great looks.

HOC Industries released these cute Country Wedges. They're a great shoe for wearing with casual dresses, shorts or pants. These wedges come with a HUD to change the color of the shoe and metals. A Moshi Moment

Leopard, and ribbons and toes... oh my! Nardcotix introduced the MANA Moshi at the recent CH1C event, and if you haven't visited yet there is still time to explore (these will likely end up in her Mainstore before long). As per usual these NX shoes are well made and in this case have a unique almost retro personality. There are great color combinations of leopard prints and accent ribbon and trim, but my favorite feature would have to be the daring hot pink sole!

To really play off the vibrant hue of the sole I went for a look that combined neutral beige and punches of bright color. A new bag, that I couldn't resist, from the recent LeLutka Summer collection, and a kicky skirt worked well with a sexy hot pink halter from BOOM. I limited the accessories to really bring attention to the great shoes and interesting textures of the outfit, overall it is a great summer ensemble with a shoe that will work with many styles.

Has anyone else been going hunt insane lately?!? I have been spending most of my time in-world on the prowl for fantastic freebies. Lately, I have been on a bit of a shopping binge, so it is nice to save a linden or two once in a while, hehe. I fell in love with the Mia Wedge when it was released in April at SLink. It can be worn with pants, shorts, skirts, dresses... it's such a versatile shoe. For those apprehensive about prim toed shoes, this is a great introductory shoe as the only parts tinted by the HUD are the toes. In addition to allowing for a perfect match, the HUD also allows for resizing, nail colors and changing the metal and leather strap colors. To go with the natural leather on the shoes, I chose to wear the Mexican Peasant Dress from Tres Blah. The leather on the dress' belt matches the Mia's tan leather almost perfectly. Brightly colored bangles from Zaara and windblown hair from 69 complete the look.

It's Mischa!

Here she is, that pretty new girl in town, or girls actually, because Mischa comes in pairs thanks to LeLutka. The new LeLutka Mischa Wedges are pretty well irresistible, those heavy wooden platform wedges in three unique wood types (all three options included with each pair), the strappy but sturdy upper shoe, with attractive colors of suede in solitary and collaged offerings. The really attractive way that Minnu Palen has embedded a satiny metallic insert into the soles makes for a very modern and striking look.

Equally modern and striking are the new MichaMi Vee Dresses, with sculpted shoulder pads these solo shade dresses have the look of strips of elasticized fabric sewn together in ways that flatter your feminine curves. A few pieces of intricate jewelry, like the Milky Way Choker and bracelets from Mandala round out one of my favorite looks in recent memory.

It looks like I am late to the party and the only new blogger to not post yet! Yikes! Okay, let's fix this.

Gospel Voom, that evil genius cobbler behind Gos has done it again! His new Pimp You Pumps line is nothing short of epic. Each fatpack of one of the 9 unique styles (you can also choose from flats) has over 1350 combinations. Yeah, you read that right. OVER 1350 combinations per fatpack. I bet you are thinking they are expensive...no. Nope. Not even. Oh and here is a hint, if you decide to buy the shoes (and why wouldn't you?!!!) make sure to join his group (50L enrollment fee)because I believe it gives a percentage off of fatpacks! Yeah!

Stepping into Summer

Hello Sweethearts!
I'm so completely thrilled to become a part of the "On your Toes" blogging team. Joining this wonderful group of talented ladies has made me so happy, mainly because it gives me a really good excuse to purchase more shoes. (as if I needed any more of an excuses.)

Today I'm showcasing a sweet summer gladiator sandal from TokiD. I recently discovered this store and have become quite enamored with the shoes and accessories TokiD has to offer.

The Gladiator sandal is beautifully textured and sculpted quite nicely. I love the details on this shoe, the textured leather and stitching match the two buttons that are placed at the back of the sandal. The deep rich dark color is perfectly suited for summer and compliments any earth tone pallet.

I did have some slight trouble when I first tried on my sandal, but after contacting Maya Levane (creator) I was able to get things sorted out. Maya informed me the best size for your foot is 0 and that leg muscles should be between the range of 37-38. Maya also suggested utilizing the "edit linked parts" option to change specific trouble areas. I found it quite easy to make the necessary adjustment for the gladiator sandal, not any more difficult than editing new hair or clothing attachments.

The Gladiator sandal is available in six colors and are priced at 200L per pair and 500L per fat pack. TokiD is perfect for stepping into summer, because it's fresh and carefree style is everything that summer should be.

Love is all around us, some maybe have a harder time seeing it than others...

but, it is true.

The love I have for these new shoes from Mstyle though, is unnatural! These shoes have to be some of the best I have seen on the grid, and all I can do is hope Mikee Mokeev keeps making more high quality shoes. I tried pairing up these glorious pumps with some hot clothes from various designers, but I can't seem to take my eyes off of them...no matter how great the clothes are. That First Step Is A Lulu

Well, hullo there sexy! Isn't this the perfect way to start off your week? SLink Lulu Stilettos, the latest from Siddean Munro, offer up a great mix of wooden platform sandal, skinny leather string wrapped foot and a daring metal spike for a heel. The texturing is beautiful and the style is unique, it comes in a variety of sassy shades, and that will make them even harder to resist.

I am so excited that I was chosen to be one of the co-bloggers here at On Your Toes, I could just dance! Well, I happen to do a lot of dancing here in Second Life, and what better to be wearing...but an absolutely adorable pair of western boots. Oh, just looking at them makes me want to go line dancing at some cute little virtual saloon! [BUKKA] has some amazing quality items, but these boots take the cake. I love that they have color change and size options (see below), and the fact that you get two pairs for the price of one AND its transferable!!! Meaning you can hook one of your friends up with these stylish boots, or not have to spend any extra precious Lindens on giving one to an Alt. Quite the deal, if you ask me. ;)

With the color change options, it makes it so easy to match this up with just about anything in your inventory. I paired these boots with a new skirt from MichiMi (available now in Black & Brown for only 50L) and a cute little tank from one of my all time favorite places here in Second Life... {mon tissu}. The outfit was rather easy to put together and any color would have looked nice with it, but I just had to have that little pop of color that the pink gives. The jewelry I am wearing is from *League* and I think I own every piece of jewelery that store has to offer...and I really hope they come out with MORE!

So there I was, getting ready for Shoe Fair 2011, and I somehow managed to back-burner a few posts that I had been working on. Here is one of them, long overdue, for the fantastic Ariadne Heels from SLink. Besides the obviously unique shape and texturing, these heels are beautifully made and perfect for inspiring an outfit.

I am also wearing the recently released PXL Gaia Skin, my new 'go to' favorite. I love the sweet lips, soft brows, and overall young looking face. I threw in a few more interesting clothing items and accessories to finish my look, and the hair from bOON, a loose high bun hairpiece completes this almost forgotten post.

Last Kick at The Can

Shoe Fair 2011 is almost gone, but before it fades gracefully into history there is still time for a little more shoe-ness. It would be sad indeed if you didn't make your way over to visit the booth of Robin Sojourner and Kick the Can. These newly released Saddle Shoes are pretty much the bees knees, and they are perfect dancing shoes to grab before the weekend.

Socks on or off, it doesn't matter, just grab a pair (or 5) of these retro delights. They come in a few great color variations, but it was traditional black and white for me, the classic rosy tan soles are a great touch. 'Sock Hop' on over to the Iridium Sim at the Shoe Fair before it closes, and check out the latest from Kick the Can!

Of the hundreds of shoes in my inventory I would estimate 5% or less are flats. I like flats, in real life I wear them all the time, but in SL I have always been more attracted to styles that I couldn't walk around in for more than 20 minutes if they were real. When some special flats find their way into my hands, I am quick to fall in love with the casual playfulness or sweet details.

The Geological Flats from Ladies Who Lunch by Faint Paulse, have a bit of sparkle, a delicate ruffle and an overall metallic shine that makes them a great find at Shoe Fair 2011. Though the texture is that of leafed fine metals, it is also reminiscent of satin which gives them a more romantic and upscale feeling. With the customization HUD you can select a metal tone for the ruffles and seams, and even select gemstones to create a perfect look for you.

Another great release from Enktan Gully of Enkythings, one of my favorite shoe designers who successfully transitioned from beautiful shoes made from traditional prims to the now fabulous sculpted pumps, Talyna.

Decoy Steps Out in Karae

The 2011 Shoe Fair wedge marathon continues with these very pretty Karae Wedges by Anette Voight of Decoy. This cork-soled wedge features a watercolor soft printed fabric in a pretty range of Summer friendly shades. The tied ankle detail has a unique back drape, which gives a pretty finishing touch to these simple wedges. The attractive HUD is straight forward and easy to use, with several preset skin tones and fresh nail shade options.

G Field: Casual Perfection

G Field is predictable, you can always count on something great from designer Cerberus Noel at Shoe Fair. If you are familiar with G Field you will know them for great style, fantastic color choices, and very easy to wear affordable footwear. The new release at this year's fair are called 'Vilda' Open Boots, a creative take on a great pump with embellished wrapped ankle. A feather accent pushes these in the direction of boho chic, but it can also be removed if you want a simpler look.

The shoes consist of two attachments, a chunky platform leather pump wrapped in a fabric sleeve, and an ankle portion trimmed in leather and finished with leather laces tied in a neat bow, the optional feather charm detail is designed to complement the shoes, and the feathers vary depending on the shade of shoes you select. All That Glitters at Mz. Shoes

Another treat to be found at the 2011 Shoe Fair are these Fae Wedges by Pixel Mode creator Tya Fallingbridge. If you are a lover of great sandals, these are worth the trip. High wedge-like goodness, a beautiful upper with soft ties adorned with beaded accents. Tya has also given us a few clever options, versions A through D of these shoes are variations of the wedge, two tones of wood, wrapped and unwrapped styles. The texture of this foot is hyper real, and to maintain realistic pigmentation the included HUD works a bit differently than some, I recommend using the notecard provided by the designer with instructions, and a list of tones based on popular skin lines, to streamline the process. The result of a perfect match is irresistible.You can find Pixel Mode on the Ruthenium Sim at Shoe Fair.

Never underestimate the allure of an interesting boot. This was my reaction when I first laid eyes upon the latest releases from Azoury at the 2011 Shoe Fair. The boots in question are Les Bottines iberis, they have rugged animal skin textures and the most interesting fringe of carved wood pieces... but the uniqueness doesn't end there. A most unexpected zigzag shaped heel holds up the entire works, high style with a surprisingly easy to wear appeal and a back zipper adds more detail. The Crocodile version grabbed my attention and took me on an unexpected journey of monochromatic mix and match fashion.

Look for Azoury in the Osmium Sim at the 2011 Shoe Fair.

I was able to cash in a little overtime for a day trip to our second destination, the Island Nation of LeLutka, best known for its excellent take on all aspects of fashion... be it Skin, Hair, Clothing, Accessories... and because this IS about Shoe Fair... the Shoes. Passport stamped it was off for a stroll in these brand new and completely gorgeous K.I.A. Wedges. One of a number of very eye catching wedges to be found at the Fair, LeLutka does not disappoint with the realism and style of their latest release. I adore the softly brushed suede look, with an attractive incorporated wedge, that gives the appearance of a wrapped shoe with a cone shaped wooden heel. A giant wooden grommet adorns the upper, a real nod to current trends for interesting natural accents in accessories. Small details like the back zipper, lelutka signature label tag sewn between layers of suede, and slightly worn soles are a treat to the eyes for those of us that like to cam in close and appreciate authenticity.

The shoes themselves come in an array of luxurious shades, from muted neutrals to lush tropical inspired hues. While settling on a single pair is a hard task for the best of us, you can be assured that whatever you choose you will love wearing the K.I.A. shoes, even a very neutral tone like 'Retail' a sweet sandy beige (not shown) will work with a multitude of color choices. My personal fave, the completely irresistible 'Olive' (pictured), surprisingly green with a healthy undertone of teal, they have an almost iridescent feel... like jewelled insect wings. I couldn't take them off. The newly designed user HUD is a thing of beauty too, very simple design, very intuitive... well done! You won't regret visiting the LeLutka booth at the 2011 Shoe Fair, the buzz is well earned... and the shoes are fashionably fantastic.

Ready for Royalty

Nadja Baxter suggested a last minute Blogger Challenge, to style ourselves for the Royal Wedding... as a Bride, or Bridesmaid, Member of the Bridal Party, or even as a guest. I went with the later, and though I have struggled with inspiration for blog posts lately, this one was perfect for me. So please join me!

The elegance of Donna Flora seems perfectly suited for day or night, Squinternet Larnia, the designer behind Donna Flora, weaves beautiful collections of Gowns, Dresses, Hats, Jewelry, Hair, and yes, even shoes. I was inspired to share one from her most recent footwear release, a full line of gorgeous sculpted shoes, most with foot sculpt and easy to use HUD. I am so proud of this first attempt at sculpting complete shoes by Larnia, many whose talents tend toward clothing or other wearables will opt to purchase pre-made sculpts for footwear, the new Donna Flora footwear marks an amazing leap forward in her personal skills and that is something to be proud of.

I combined an elegant lilac colored Milena Dress with cream colored jacket and oversized bow, trimmed in sweet beaded flowers. The jewelry Ginger also by Donna Flora is reminiscent of royal jewels, large stones in rich purple and diamonds adorn the ears and a large cocktail ring. The shoes, Lila in Ivory, are a soft satin traditional pump with ankle strap, a petaled flower adorns the heel for added glamour. I complemented the look with a hat from Paper Couture, and skin and eyes by PXL Creations.

Warning: This post contains shameless self-promotion, or rather, clothing from the *New* DCNY because my shopping time has been severely limited lately... but much more important than that are the shoes, and it should always be more about the shoes, dontcha think?

Nardya Rousselot is a busy girl, she is a hard one to catch online these days... but whenever I do catch her I usually harass her with questions about her next shoe release, when is it coming? what is she making? etc. But as recently as this past weekend, she finally had an answer for me, and today, a sneak peek at the lovely MANA Edith, an elegant ankle strap heel from Nardcotix.

It has all the quality we have grown to expect from well made foot-in-shoe styles, and it also boasts one of the most user friendly hud designs I have used. It was one click for me to match my PXL Linda G3 Light Tan Skin perfectly, and there are enough shade presets to make it easy, and any custom tinting and darkening is a piece of cake.

If you have owned MANA styles before you will pleased to note that your existing hud will work perfectly here, so if you have saved your personal skin settings they are available, as are any custom nail art options you may have already added to your hud. The color variety that will be offered on this style is bigger than ever, real eye candy shades too!

This Is Love.

I believe in love. No matter how many times love chews you up and spits you out, I firmly believe that there is someone out there for everyone... maybe more than one, or in Second Life... at least a clean half dozen in the average SLifespan. So what does one do when they are faced with the possibility of Valentine's Day alone, or lonely, or both? You go back to what you love, and for me that is blogging shoes, and great fashion and beautiful skins. One of my first loves in SL were the Linda skins from PXL, and Mr. Hart Larsson, that talented and very charming fellow has won me over again with the stunning PXL Linda G3. There is something to be said about a man that can make a woman feel beautiful, and my first gift to myself today was this beautiful skin.

I also love rediscovering old favorite stores, and things that have been sitting in my 'to wear' folder for months and months. This past weekend I happened upon a small shop named CentoPallini, it was new to me and I instantly loved the Valentino Hat, which looks to be molded from dark chocolate and is festooned with bows, gems, more chocolate in a heart shaped box, and cupids arrow skewering the whole works. Easy peasy, gift number two for myself is settled upon. I dug the rest of my outfit out of my many folders of clothing, with a beautiful Veschi Jacket, Maitreya Bodysuit and accessories from Donna Flora. But you know me, and my outfit is never complete without something 'on my toes'.

It was really very hard for me to find something newish to blog, as I have been away for a little while and missed some great things, and it seems that there haven't been many new releases this week (I suspect most of my favorites are gearing up for the next Shoe Fair... more on that soon.) So I started TPing around for some inspiration... I found them at SLink, and yes they have been out for a while, but they are completely gorgeous and I never managed to grab a pair before today, gift number three for me, the beautiful Paloma Pointe Ballet Slippers. Now it seems I am ready to dance my way into the next unsuspecting heart, and I didn't have to wear loads of pink or bright red to do it.

Having no place to go in SL just got a whole lot better. Onyx LeShelle of Maitreya has delivered another much needed piece of footwear to her many fans, and with the holiday season in full swing, these Scrunched Prim Socks are the perfect remedy to relax in after all those stiletto wearing events and parties.

At Peace With The World

There are few mornings where we can wake up and take a few moments to appreciate the wonderful world we live in, take a deep breath of chilled air and sip a hot mug of something, before our day gets crazy with the normal business of the season.

It was the recent release of the gorgeous Shearling Boots from Maitreya that inspired this little outing, and even in these cold temperatures, the comfy lounge wear items just out from Mon Tissu and the scarf and mitts from League were all I needed to step outside and appreciate the quiet beauty of this morning.

Fell in all sorts of love with these Gos GTFO Boots as soon as I saw them, yeah sure, I have a zillion pairs of lace up boots already, but these are a perfect example of why you can never have too many pairs. The quality of design and texturing has improved so rapidly, that similar boots from just one year ago seem like antiques (and I love my antiques too). The new Paper Couture collection for Fall 2010 is pretty impressive, and naturally there are some great new shoes available with the new release. I am focusing on 2 of my favorite styles/colors from the new designs, and I hope you will agree that there is just something special about these shoes.

The Typhoon Boots are the stuff Fall Boot dreams are made of, slouchy and stylish, with a great leather and suede combination, these wedge heeled beauties will be hard to resist. For me the deep plum and purple were destined to come home with me!

Shoe Fair 2010: Kookie

More creative Shoe Fair finds from Kookie, whose shoes are unique and offer a wide variety of styles and shapes. I love the details on the Enya Power Boots, with their futuristic shape and buckle closures.

The Armarda Boots from Kookie have an earthy rustic thing going on, with or without the wool topper option the delicate laces and eyelets are a great touch. I loved the rich chocolate shade, if you can't eat it might as well wear it. Kookie Lemon makes some yummy stuff!

The Bonnie lace-up ankle boots have a surprising open toe design, and a lot of personality. The shape is easy to love, and the funky updated style is easy to wear with casual pants or dresses. Be sure and visit Kookie at the Shoe Fair 2010 to see some great styles.

Siddean Munro made sure to offer Shoe Fair visitors some great new releases, and she has already made a big dent in the shoe game with her amazing quality and user friendly HUD system. The SLink Mieke Riding Boots are a nice way to remind us all that fall is soon approaching, these beautifully textured flat boots can add sass or classic casual style to your look of choice.

The Aveela Stilettos are another amazing offering from SLink, it is hard to resist a sexy high heel with so much style. These come in some great colors you wont want to miss checking out the full assortment in person. The final style of the trio is the modern looking Sade Heel, who can deny the architecture of a great shoe, with it's interesting heel cut out and metallic shine. Shoe Fair 2010: R2

R2 has a real flair for color and texture, and the surprise of the Koaniani Shoes, for me, was the delicate stripes and rich wood base, in contrast to the often brightly colored metallic shoes I am used to seeing from rei2 Aya. A second eye catching offering from R2 is the Kaimana Shoes with it's striped belts and unique pinched in heel. The pretty satiny shades of this shoe are a great way to dress up an outfit for a special night out.
