Barely There

A few well placed strips of fabric and magically, a dress! The latest R2 offering at Collabor88 is a very unique looking style, a hint of Asian silk, a pinch of 60s go go dancer, and the temptation of exposed skin. I chose the black and gold version of the dress to match these dramatic sculptural wedges from Gos Boutique.

 

This unusual but sexy look is accentuated by some Maxi Gossamer accessories; ring, bangles, and earrings are all nice touches, but my new favorite accessory has to be my Flair nail art appliers for my Slink Enhanced hands. I never even thought about how much the color or design of my manicure would effect the finish of my outfits, but I am really loving the ease and fun of playing with the various styles available.

 

These latest Gos sandals are certainly dramatic, I love the crisscrossing straps and uniquely shaped wedge, they seem like wearable art. The overall style is a careful collection of things that wrap around the body just enough to be barely there. (For complete shopping information below.)

Silver Streak

I don't usually use On Your Toes to promote my own releases for DCNY, but I am making an exception, and I hope you won't judge me too harshly for breaking my own rules. The dress in question is an exclusive release for 'The 100 Block', a dip dyed silk dress with a metallic collar, and it is available at this event at 50% off the typical release price for the duration of the event. Ain't She Sweet

Opening today is 'The 100 Block' an exciting new event from Depraved Nation. Being a contributing designer to this event has its perks, one of which is being able to get a sneak peek at what other designers are doing, and I am eager to share one of my favorites with you.

 

If you are not familiar with Sassy!, you are missing a great store, I am an admirer of the quality of the clothing, not only is it consistent, but it also tends to walk the line very well between sexy and skimpy, often surprising me with more classy pieces that remain, yes,  sexy! The jacket and skirt are a great example of this, and are an exclusive release from Sassy! at 'The 100 Block'.

 

Because I can't resist great accessories I have pulled together some great ones here; ISON is responsible for the great bag and gold watch, Kumaki is responsible for the great sunglasses (worn in my hair) another '100 Block' Exclusive release to watch for, and the shoes are another great color change style from Redgrave. Just The Essentials

Essentially speaking, there are a few things you just need to have to make a great wardrobe, or in SL, that great go-to outfit that will work for almost any occasion. Case in point, this relaxed and easy collection of essential items that you wouldn't really think work together, but they do!

Neutral colors, black basics and modern accessories, and some great new shoes too, that is what my look is comprised of today. The Black Blazer, newly released by The Secret Store for FaMESHed, is a great way to add versatility to your outfit, wearing it over a great neutral colored dress by Maitreya, it is a easy way to change up a day look for a more nightlife ready style, just by removing the Blazer.

  

These great sunglasses by Kumaki, are a sneak peek at an exclusive new release for 'The 100 Block' Event, scheduled to open on May 10th, everyone needs their sunglasses, and these come with multiple color options, I just love them. Also from the land of color change awesomeness are the latest footwear released by Redgrave, I am completely in love with all of their most recent shoes, but these may just be my favorite! Optical Illusions

So FaMESHed is a year old, and that is awesome! Congratulations to all of the creators who participate in this event, you are responsible for some truly great mesh. I am wearing two new releases from the event, this sexy structured dress by Leverocci and the equally impressive necklace by Glam Affair. Both of these items feel like wearable art to me, a visually interesting collection of shapes that catch the light, and compliment one another.

 

Even more of the 'fantastic' I am wearing comes from Siddean Munro at Slink, she has recently released her Avatar Enhancement system rigged hands and feet, and some great shoes that I just love wearing on my new improved feet. What is really keen about these it that they require applicable texture huds from your favorite skin designers, making getting a perfect match a no brainer. League being one of the first to offer these appliers is my skin of choice for today, I sincerely hope that more designers will embrace this system soon.

 

Nail art is a very popular real-life trend right now, and many designers can now create special nail art add-ons for the Avatar Enhancement rigged hands and feet! One of the most prolific designers doing these enhancements is Miss Sasy Scarborough under her shop named Flair. With over 40 unique sets of nail designs you will definitely find something perfect to match your personality, or your outfit. Last but not least, great new hair from Exile, one of a few released in store this week, Kavar Cleanslate has implemented a new hud controlled color system, it is ridiculously easy to use, and the number of colors, bonus highlight options and long rigged hairstyles are irresistible! The Atomic Era

I was inspired to throw together this sleek monochromatic and slightly futuristic look today, by a good friend who often wears this as his signature style. Nothing wrong with borrowing a little fashion inspiration from those around us, especially when you start with a great looking jacket, this one newly released by R3VOLT, with a great combination of tweed and buckles, and an open raised collar.

 

Finally a great reason to wear these amazing ankle boots and tights, both recently released by Maitreya, Spring and Summer might be just around the corner, but these exceptional pieces make the last few cool days of late Winter weather much more bearable.

As I always take my accessories very seriously, I need to name a few great pieces today, starting with these mesh gloves from Baiastice, and the Neo glasses from Redgrave, but perhaps my favorite touch is the Rejuvenated Heart necklace from Maxi Gossamer, such a clever and meaningful item for me recently.

Right Here Waiting

I've been riding a bit of a roller coaster lately, trying to figure out some things, and perhaps putting myself first for once, maybe even realizing my own worth. I am grateful to the people that have inspired me to make some positive changes, and even if they aren't able to be with me every day, the days in between are better because they are part of my life now. Waiting for the good days to come back again, is so worth it, and distractions such as beautiful new releases make the time pass really quickly.

 

Case in point, Celoe newness, another gloriously crafted sandal, this one is a little bit rock and roll, and a whole lot of detail that makes them work well with many styles. A signature 'C' dangles from your ankle chain, available in gold and silver tones, leather of various colors combined with the metal decorations make for a really great shoe. I adore bright colors, but today I fell in love with the look of the gold and black combination, and it was a great compliment to this very dramatic body-con dress from Belgravia. A few pieces of Maxi Gossamer jewelry and all is right with the world with this sleek and sexy outfit.
