Sweetest Bad Girl

I am a bad girl, maybe. Whether you are a bad girl or a good girl there is something fun and flirty about dressing like one. The Sweetest Goodbye had a pretty major release today, an entire collection of sexy bad girl essentials with something for everyone. It started with the delivery of the Get on! Boots in Black and Brown, and ended with a trip to the store to buy the rest of the goods.

The boots are tall and sleek, accented with mini belts and buckles on a very sexy slight platform sole. The are textured in attractive smooth leather and have some nice subtle shine details. The fit was perfect for my avatar, which is pleasant since I often need to resize boot calves. But these are modifiable so you can tweak the fit to suit your avatar if necessary.

The Get on! One Piece and Hat are equally appealing. The one piece comes in 4 variations, as do the hats. I have a huge crush on blue so Navy was the easy choice, and the coordinating belt with chain detail that comes with the set (and can be worn with other looks) matches the boots perfectly. I love the prim accents, really top stuff, like the orange tied arm band, and the open halter back reveals those sexy shoulders. The hat was really well sized and only required slight position changes to work with my hair. The entire look was biker babe chic, so I threw on a Black Heart necklace from Sole, and my biker gloves from Redgrave and decided to take my bike for a spin, yeah it's really mine.

That's all for now, time for this BAD GIRL to get back on the road. Ride over to Sweetest Goodbye for your fill.

The Stuff; Redgrave Skin (Leona), Analogue Dog Hair (Monday), Outfit-Boots-Hat from Sweetest Goodbye, Redgrave Gloves, Sole Black Heart Key Necklace.

Playing Catch Up

Been getting a little behind on the reviews lately, so here are a trio of mini-reviews for some relatively new creators. All style notes are included at the bottom of this post. Happy Shopping!

A newcomer on the scene is Pretties by JB, made by Jori Watler. These PBJ Boho Chic Mules are a really cute looking shoe, nice shape and texturing, shown here in Mocha Leather. Pretties also has some cute boots and accessories in store, so go check them out here.

Skin Flicks has been around for a while, but their shoe collection is still relatively unknown. These Jane Flats are perfectly sweet slim lined shoes. Available in multiple colors, these are a great casual shoe option from Mavis McGettigan. A visit to the Main Location is highly recommended.

Last but not least is the first major shoe release from DoC Eldritch and DE Designs. The DE DEvinci Boots are a great first offering, a sculpted boot with sexy calf hugging upper, in solids and subtle patterns with an oh-so-high heel. A great start from this talented designer, I am eager to see more. Visit DE Designs to take a closer look.

Looks like more than enough new offerings to tempt us, and more to come soon!

The Stuff; with PBJ Mules - Redgrave Leona Skin (Gold), Zero Style Kristin Hair (Chestnut), Savvy? 400 Toes!

As I was about to start a post this evening I noticed that the previous total number of posts was 399, making this one our 400th post! I immediately IM'd Graciana and we decided to get together and find a way to commemorate this huge accomplishment. We started way back on December 4th 2007, and I can still remember how big a deal blogging seemed to be, having never done it before. Graci held my hand and got me started and we have never looked back, we have reviewed shoes & boots, traditional prim and sculpted, with feet and without, and we have tried to show of some of the best that our amazing SL creators have to offer.

We decided to put on the very first pairs of shoes we blogged and take a photo together. I just had to giggle when I remembered my first was Stiletto Moody's Bitch Booties, I wore these just the other day, still very much a fave. Graciana's first footwear post was the Sugar and Spice Boots from Lyra Muse and LAST CALL/VAMP. It is amazing how much has changed, including our appearances... love of shoes, however, remains.

We both want to give tremendous thanks to all the wonderful creators who have kept our shoe inventories bursting at the seams, you inspire us. A big thanks to Jonny Tobias and the others who have contributed their time and feet to model for us in the past, it seems that men come and go, but great shoes are forever! Lastly, and most importantly, our dear readers - who make it all worthwhile, thank you for your support and feedback, you mean so much to us.

Thanks for keeping us On Your Toes!

Wired Up with SLink

I got these Caged Platforms sent to me this morning, yet another foot-in-shoe release from SLink. The truly unique offering from Siddean Munro looks like a modern art piece, with it's wire cage heel and lattice that extends from the top of the foot to the ankle. The ample platform base and tied leather ankle wrap are color changeable, as are the metals which can be set to your preferred finish. No salon visit is necessary to change the color or your pedicure, and painted details, therewas also not too much difficulty matching my skin tone, though hand entering the RGB gave me an unusual result, I eventually sorted it out with the color palate method and was happy with the look of the skin tone on the prim foot.

For the remainder of my sexy Saturday look I relied on COCO's new coverall zip-suit called 'Combinaison', which comes with black and white tube top options for underneath, but I wore mine over a bikini from SNOC which I picked up at the clothing fair. A few accessories and I was all set to step out in these sexy shoes.

Look for the Caged Platforms at SLink.

The Stuff; Redgrave Leona Skin, TRUTH Hair, COCO Coverall Suit, SNOC Bikini, SLink Footwear, Earrings by Creamshop, Bangles by DeLa.

LeLutka Steps It Up

Happily ready to follow up my previous teaser post with a closer look at the new footwear from LeLutka. Amazingly enough, this premier shoe release consists of two distinct style options which are credited to two very talented women. Both Thora Charron and Minnu Palen have contributed footwear to the new Spring line, a collection of shoes that perfectly compliments the rest of the LeLutka collection, but also stands alone in style and texture as a great footwear option for lovers of flats and platform pumps alike.

Thora Charron is responsible for the Korina flats, a sweet little flat that is available in 3 distinct textures; Fabric with attractive sculpted bows, Checked with a very nice subtle pattern & Leather which adds a touch of sparkle with a row of large rhinestones across the toe. The only down side is trying to decide which color and which style you like the best, if you are a lover of flats then you might want them all.

Minnu Palen continues to challenge her skills as a designer, it seems that LeLutka (formerly MMS), has given her the opportunity to explore beyond men's and women's skins, and branch out into hair, clothing, and now shoes. Her Shanon pumps have a stylish platform style base, tall stiletto heel and come in some really sophisticated shades. The pumps have a reptile skin texture and come in soft pastels and vivid brights, and a very special diamond variation that has rhinestone details on the back of the heel. I am a big fan of the added touch of color around the shoe opening, really nice detail.

A visit to the newly re-opened LeLutka would not be complete without a closer look at the shoes.

The Stuff; With Korina - LeLutka Korina flats in Checkered Green, LeLutka Satin Pants in Ice, LeLutka Grace Earrings (group gift), Maitreya Cami in Teal (from Mirli Sweater), Lalique Bag by Ingrid Ingersoll, Redgrave Leona Skin & Maitreya Mayte hair in Coffee. With Shanon - LeLutka Shanon Pumps in Beige, LeLutka Mischa Jeans with Cuffs (group gift), LeLutka 100% Plastic Bag (group gift), Armidi Sheer Ribbed Tank in Beige, Redgrave Leona Skin and Analogue Dog 'Go' Hair in Black.

Coming Soon To Your Toes... LeLutka.

Hope to gosh I am not breaking any rules here... but I am just so pleased at the moment. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the LeLutka Spring Collection showing this afternoon, and was very excited to see the exclusive footwear created to coordinate with the truly remarkable clothing and accessories. I can't wait to show you more from the LeLutka line, and Minnu Palen & Thora Charron's shoes very soon... Congrats on a wonderful collection to all the talented ladies behind LeLutka!

The stuff; All clothing, accessories & shoes by LeLutka, Hair by Maitreya, Skin is Redgrave.

SLink: Bare feet

Since I read Annessa's fantastic feature on the new toe shoes over at SLink, I just had to run over and grab a pair for myself. While there I also noticed something else, the Bamboo style bare feet! Siddean Munro's creation are a fantastic addition to the upcoming beach wear season (if you live in North America like myself), especially if you don't want to always wear your bathing suit with heels. However, I found a more domesticated use for these cuties in my quest to be barefoot and pregnant. What? SLhousewives need cute toes too! Visit SLink Online and InWorld

Fussy: XPose!

Last time I was at Fussy was just before Christmas, but this morning while chatting with shoe connoisseur Zach Larsen, we decided it was time for me to get back over there to check out the boots with the toes! It actually all started from a talk about prim toes in general, but I'm very pleased to where it led me. Featured here are the XPose boots in black. There is also a buckled version available. Sleek and sexy with a pop of "real" skin showing from the heal and then the cute little toes, these boots brought out my inner pole dancer. Although, I do think they can be fashioned with a more sophisticated look too. As is common with several of the new "toe" styles out on the grid, the nails and skin tones are mod with a color changing hud. Visit Fussy InWorld.

COCO-licious!

Short and sweet. COCO has released these adorable loafer mules, a style I love and own a few pairs quite similar to in first life. They come in multiple colors, but I was most drawn to this sweet pink pair. This is just the kind of casual outfit I love, the Ankle Pants in Nougat, also from COCO are a slim leg pant with small cuff, they come with a matching belt that has a leather-like texture and two oversized pouch pockets. My tee was a must have item from Toastface, gotta love cupcakes! The hair is DejaVu, the Sista style which is cute and fun, with the finishing touch is the adorable Cuppy Cake Bracelet and Necklace from Violet Voltaire. All poses used are from relative newcomer Rogan Diesel at Diesel Works who is doing some great things, I can't wait to see more!

Visit COCO for a serving of these sweet soles!

Beautiful Baiastice!

Is it any wonder that I have fallen in love with the latest collection from Baiastice? I appears to have seamlessly and spectacularly combined the best of Black and White with hip punches of delicious bright color. And did I mention the shoes? Sissy Pesoa's latest collection demonstrates the skill of this talented designer, the collection takes us on a trip through a variety of styles all complemented with accessories such as handbags, sunglasses and footwear. The detail and unique styling of Sissy's footwear takes them far beyond the basic pump sculpts she begins with. Oversized Crystals, Leather Straps, Grommets and Satin, paired with the collection's sculpted corset pieces and giant bows, combine to present a complete fashionista wardrobe to the many fans of Baiastice, of which I am definitely one!

Oh My, Those Toes!

I am so glad that Siddean Munro thought to send me her latest release, not only has her talent continued to grow since the last time I reviewed her footwear, but it seems that her shoes themselves have sprouted toes, well whole feet really. I am a fan of prim feet, and it seems that the blogging community is warming up to them, really it was only a matter of time. Change can be scary, and amputation humour aside, I think that prim feet are here to stay and will continue to improve. Siddean's feet are cute, well not her actual feet, the ones in her two shoe styles that I am reviewing here, the Lovely Legs and the Desire. The SLink foot has a different look to the other famous feet in shoes which I am more familiar with, I find them to be attractive but a bit softer and more ample around the heel and toe areas, giving them a more animated look.

What I simply adore about these is the HUD attachments that make skin matching and customizing your shoe and accessories just a few clicks away. It did take me a few minutes to read the quick start note card that arrived with the shoes, but the process after that was easy as pie and I was happy with the result. Bright funky colors and even toenail art make these a really fun shoe to style to match your look perfectly. I will say that because they are a single attachment shoe, without an separate ankle section, I had to be a bit more careful with the poses that I chose to show them off, ankle position for more extreme poses yielded some interesting results, but for general walking and most typical AO poses this would not be a negative factor.

The Lovely Legs style, shown here in green are super sexy and did in fact make for that lovely legged look, especially with the new Lime version of the Elate! Felicity Dress. More newness is the completely irresistible hair from DejaVu called Lady Crocodile. I added some great touches of color with the customizable head band, lemon yellow beads from Ume Mode (color change), Bangle set from Finc! and Patent Lemon purse from Celestial Studios. The Desire shoes got the pink treatment with the same Elate! dress in Blush, and another morsel from DejaVu, the Mademoiselle with customizable trio of bands. Simple and Sparkling accessories from U & R Dogs, a personal fave, completed the look.

Please visit Siddean for her sexy shoes, and her other wonderful items at SLink.

In London Town

Redgrave's latest footwear release for the ladies did not dissapoint, another inovative and well textured leather heel in a variety of great colours at the irresistable prices and fatpack options that Viola Leigh's sexy line of shoes has become known for. The London Heels are more sandal than pump, with the open toes and pieces that wrap the leg. Included with these comes a notecard with specific shape recommendations to get that perfect fit, but the now familiar resize script makes it easy to adjust for an attractive fit for you own shape too.

I had fun playing with these, and managed to come up with 3 style cards for this release. The first look features the London shoes in Silver White, a fresh cocktail party look complete with the new handkerchief skirted dress from Bijou, accessories from Uzuri, and Hair from Armidi. I was then inspired to try them with a formal look, and chose this sexy Maggie Gown from Azul, the movement is exquisite and revealed glimpses of the London Heels in Black. Hair is Breeze from Lamb, amazing accessories are from Aluinn.

The final look for the London Heels was a much more casual one, the sweet Caramel color echoes the shades from my enSvale hoodie and work well with the sexy denim mini from Maitreya. Casual plaited hair from DejaVu adds to the relaxed feel, as I chose to wear the London Heels with out the second attachment, providing a new look for the shoe which can be worn both ways.

Visit Redgrave to get some London Heels, and view the other great footwear from Viola Leigh.

R2 Yummy!

Cruising through some flickr images today, I happened upon the stream of the amazing Dango Jewell, and spotted some fantastic looking sky high wedges on her feet in a few of the shots. As luck would have it, I caught her online and she produced the LM to the R2 store for me very quickly, thank-you again Dango! :)

These Akamai wedge pumps managed to escape my attention until today, but they are well worth the mention because of their exceptional quality, styling and a price that made it impossible for me to resist buying 3 pairs of the approximately 6 variations. My favorite by far is the fuchsia and purple 'Pink' pair. The vivid color was just what I needed to wake me up from these Winter blahs. The outfit, a complete mash-up from existing inventory items, long neglected, started with the skirt from the Church of Luxe 'Fairy Dress' in Pistachio, hand tinted to a bright pink shade. The sweater was a fluke that popped up when I searched for purple, but it's by MG Fashion, and I love its heavy cowl neck, the belt and gloves are Redgrave. Redgrave skin, Mikan Hair and some bangles from Fresh Baked Good & Caroline's add to the look.

Sweet Marie

It's been a whole bunch of boots for a while now, it's time for a change. Camilla Yosuke sent me this wonderful assortment of her newest footwear, Marie Jeanne Heels from INSOLENCE. The Marie Jeanne's are a sweet ultra shiny Mary Jane shoe. They come in a range of soft pastel shoes as well as basic black in two metal options. They have a softly rounded toe and a retro inspired ample heel, a thick strap across the top is fastened with an attractive buckle.

I chose to wear the slate blue which has an almost silvery appearance. Other shades include pink, purple, beige, camel and the aforementioned black that comes in both silver and gold accent metal. A high heeled Mary Jane has the ability to be sweet and sexy, which certainly suits the rest of Camilla's line of lingerie and footwear.

Simple elegant styling was my choice for this look, and stand by for a bit of shameless self promotion as I am wearing the latest release from PIN UP Dolls the creation of my alter ego, Pin Upshaw, a silver colored system skirted satin dress with prim accent tie at the neck and delicate beading. Unique Silver accessories from UZURI, prim nails (with ring) from Love Soul, hair from ETD (currently closed) complete my look.

Visit INSOLENCE to locate these sweet shoes.
