The saying goes, “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”, and the girl who said it? Miss Marilyn Monroe. This post marks the first of a new series featuring a completely new collection of shoes created by a man that is, in my mind, giving us girls just what we need to conquer our virtual world... and this celebrity cordwainer? He goes by the name of Gos. The shoes are part of his much lauded Boutique Collection, and I may not have been the first virtual shoe lover to sing their praises... but a good shoe is timeless, and my take on these styles might just be the one you were awaiting before taking the plunge, or better yet... working on your special someone far enough in advance that they know exactly what you want for Valentine's Day!

Every shoe needs to have that magical balance between form and function, while we may not exactly ever get heel blisters or pinched toes in SL, we are acutely aware of the beautiful shape of a heeled shoe. The balance of the perfect platform, the arch of the undersole and the tapered heel that seems to whittle down to almost nothing. The architect of a beautiful shoe has a key role in its planning and design, and must oversee its construction.
The Sophia Peeptoe shoes by Gos are a perfect example of this, they have a gorgeous sexy shape, a generous platform and that little peek of toe cleavage that is always appreciated. The satiny fabric that emerges from the sole and twists itself across the front of the shoe is another stunningly realized touch. In any color, on any woman, these shoes have retro flare for the modern sex symbol.
