Pretty Princess

Just a quick look at a few very pretty things that I am wearing today. Firstly, the very delicate and intricate jewelry from EarthStones, Faye Crystal Jewelry Set in Quartz, the metal is changeable between silver and gold tones - making this doubly special and a perfect compliment to an elegant look with its raw quartz crystal drops. Hats are such a great under utilized accessory for most of us, I was TPd to the 50% off hat sale at Bliss Couture and bought a number of really sensational and fun toppers like this one, called Mezzo.

The delicately pale blue dress, another item from the Celoe Fall 2012 Collection, is a beautiful evening gown, something I don't wear often in SL anymore, but this one, a lovely rigged mesh gown was something special and well worth buying. Even if you have no real reason to dress up in something elegant, sometimes it feels nice to be that pretty princess.

Tripping Over My Shoelaces

Sometimes the simplest things are the best, like the simplicity of a great pair of sandals tied up with shoelaces, in great summer colors, that will inspire your trip to the shore. The recently released Shoelace Sandals from Sand Shack Surf Co. by Emma Gilmour are a perfect combination of casual and cute, they are just as comfy with a bikini as they are with more refined cruisewear. The added feature of color change laces on these will extend their wearability even more.

In any combination of my favorite shades of coral, teal and beige my looks to accompany these shoes were a win win situation, loving the new hats and bags from LeLutka, and great accessories from Earthstones. The shoes come in so many great colors that it will be easy for you to find a shade (or three) that suit your summer style.

Last Of Winter

So this will be my last official Winter-ish boot post for the season, after this one it's on to strappy sandals, sexy colorful platforms, you name it, just no more thermal cozy snow boots. But I saved a great one for the last one, Kalnins SnowDrift Boots, these are super cute comfy suede boots with a great ribbon accent. As expected, Kalnins once again allows you to custom color and easily size your boots, I did find these a bit on the teeny side so I sized them up a fair bit so as not to look like a giraffe wearing mouse shoes, if you get my meaning. I completely adore the way these color coordinated with my amazing new accessories from Earthstones, yes these are available at clothing fair, New York Sim.

StyleCard: EarthStones Darya Wedge

Summer is a great time for no fuss, no muss casual looks. It was such a treat to be able to kick off my prim feet and slide my avatar tootsies into these amazingly detailed Darya Wedges from EarthStones. Abraxxa Anatine delivers more of her recognizable earthy delights, with the added benefit of two metal options, an assortment of specially selected semi-precious stone accents to match the rich colored leather. Once again a beautiful job done on the foot shape to create a more natural looking foot without the need for prim toes.

To complete my lazy day look, I threw on a pair of damaged jeans by EmJay which I shortened to capri length, an olive tank from Maitreya and the absolutely fantastic EarthStones Leather & Laced Belt. Other touches like the Samsara Hair from ::69:: (with custom tinted hat) and an UZURI Necklace make this an outfit I had to 'folder' so I can wear it again and again.

Earthy Slides

EarthStones was previously reviewed on this blog for some great foot jewelry and some sweet flat sandals, but it has been a while since Abraxxa Anatine sent something my way. These Troya Slides combine her amazing talent for jewelry yet again, into a simple and attractive shoe. Some great texturing makes these kinda special, and I was also impressed with the shape of the foot in the shoe as it was pretty kind on those wacky toes we all have, they look about as nice as I have ever seen for non-prim toes.

Though they do come in a variety of stone/leather combinations, I am wearing the coffee, others are pictured above. You can find these and other well crafted items at the EarthStones Main Store located here.

A Holiday Wish

Tonight marks the beginning of Hanukkah, The Festival of Lights, for some of us. I just wanted to express my sincerest best wishes to all my friends, family & dear readers of 'On Your Toes' at this special time of year. You make it a pleasure to spend time in Second Life, and no matter which holiday you are celebrating, or even if all you are celebrating is great shoe shopping, please enjoy the season and appreciate the small moments with the people you care about. StyleCard_EarthStones & Analise

Some things are just too pretty not to share, even when they fall outside of my normal style, and sometimes I discover that there are ways to incorporate the unexpected into my wardrobe and broaden my horizons, just a bit. Okay enough of the fancy babble, let's get to the footwear, err, foot jewelry I should say... the Beautiful Slave Footlets by EarthStones. Abraxxa Anatine dropped these on me ages ago, and I just wasn't quite sure what to make of them... but I was impressed with the tiny detail and dainty chains that held the footlets together. One could easily assume that these are best suited for the GOR crowd, or the fantasy RP folks over at 1001 Nights (if you haven't been, go)... but these do go beyond, and as an alternative to going barefoot with our oh so sexy looking avatar feet at that next beach party why not throw on a pair of these. They come in a wide range of semi-Precious stones, shown here are Labradorite.

I went over to Analise in search of some modest silks to wear with them, and wouldn't you know it my letter came up on the Lucky Chair, well actually the wildcard '?' came up, we all know the letter 'A' is cursed by Lucky Chairs. These are the September chair item, and I just love the colors and the pairs of matching Bangles. I had to wear these amazing earrings, also by EarthStones, Bali Hoop Earrings in Baltic Amber, amazing color. Overall it is a fun and exotic look.

Of the Earth

I swear that on occasion my inventory eats my shoes, and every now and then if I am very lucky they seem to turn up again. I had almost forgotten about these completely, and then just the other day... poof. Timing was perfect however, and I took these rather detailed EarthBound Sandals from EarthStones for a nice little stroll around Emvee Cuba. Abraxxa Anatine is best known for her earthy accessories, often adorned with semiprecious stones and other natural elements, so it is no surprise to me that these shoes have an almost jewelry-like feel to them. Excellent tiny prim work on an attractive flat sandal, and a nice assortment of leather and 'stone' options make these especially nice.
