Who Needs A Vacation?

I do! I do! But if I start with my feet I might just get there, maybe. The new St. Tropez Heels from Redgrave are reminiscent of the slice of warm weather that I am craving at the moment, a beautiful striped leather sandal with playful lace-up details would definitely make the trip. Viola Leigh delivered the goods with some great color combinations of these nicely textured babies.

UPDATE: Hello Miss Zhao?

OK Color me confused, a concerned reader pointed this out to me this morning and I have to say that I am a bit disappointed and even more bewildered, but perhaps the creators involved can shed some light on the situation for all of us. It seems the just released ZHAO AprilStars are almost identical, if not identical, to shoes released in January by Cattiva e Cattivo creator Lissa Maertens. They are alike in appearance and also in the name 'AprilStars' and even the color names seem to be the same. So I ask, were these a 'business in a box' full perms kit situation or has Lissa started working with ZHAO? I await your feedback. (*** please see the comments section of this post for clarification)

The Original Review:

Zhao shoes is back! For whatever reason it has been a while since Melanie Zhao has released something new, but as expected she has returned with the release of these cute sculpted AprilStars oxford heels. Some nice texturing here, and great color selection, each pair comes with 2 lace options, these are resizable by HUD. There is also a color changeable pair with bling, Zhao has always offered great customizable features and she managed to find a way to offer that here too.

Visit ZHAO Shoes at the main store to take a look at the newness.

3-Ways and the 'F Word'

Now that I have your attention, we can talk about what is really going on here. Firstly, Miss Tesla Miles has surfaced, and she has brought shoes with her. TESLA will soon be releasing the High Oxfords, and for a girl who has been wearing so many boots lately, I am pleased to review some shoes again. The Oxfords are a great looking shoe too, with a moderate platform, chunky heel and lace-up upper. These multi-tonal shoes are almost chameleon-like in their ability to work with a variety of items in your wardrobe. And they also lend themselves to multiple styles of dressing. I am illustrating 3 unique looks; Classic, Casual & Club Wear... 3 ways, get it? (click images to see larger size.)

With 12 amazing pairs on the menu; Gold, Bronze, Berry, Black, Blue, Chocolate, Jade, Olive, Purple, Scarlet, Snow and Teal, you might just be better off using the F word... Fatpack. I don't throw that word around lightly, but if this is a style of shoe that appeals to you I do not see how you can go wrong. Lovers of slightly metallic colors and hand tooled leather details should be in heaven by the weekend... Tesla's scheduled release for these cuties.

Please visit TESLA and look for the High Oxfords.

StyleCard: J's Thigh Highs

There are certain areas of SL fashion where I rarely venture... these would include the fetish gear, latex, rubber, etc. But sometimes an item can crossover into the other areas of virtual fashion, and be unexpected treats for the occasional RP or themed party. When JB Gazov of J's Boots sent me 2 variations of his latest Thigh High Boots, I wasn't really sure what to make of them. They are sexy, they are high, and they really show how far the clever use of the 'system shoe' has come in the past couple years. With a beautifully shaped foot piece and wrinkled ankle prim these hardly look like any system shoe I have ever seen, but the great texturing of the leg portion which is part of that system shoe and the added bow make these a nice pair of sexies.

The boots come in 2 variation as previously mentioned, a Lace-up and Non-laced version. Though I expect this type of boot lends itself well to the fetish fashion world, I chose to take mine in the direction of 'Future Sexy' . The great corset and mini skirt from Mekanoize Labs (hey, where did they go?) and the upper part of the Bare Rose Decadence Maia Silver Jacket were just the thing. I added my new favorite hair, Shirley from Zero Style and headed to INSILICO for a few pics.

Visit J's Boots to pick up a pair.

The stuff; Redgrave Skin, Zero Style Hair, Bare Rose Jacket, Corset and Mini from Mekanoize Labs.

StyleCard: BAX Boots

Ahhh! Nothing like a release from BAX Boots to get me to lace up and get back to blogging, needed a bit of a break after that all out marathon of shoes while Graci was away. But she is back, and I have had my little break... and here come the boots! Bax Coen really doesn't fail with her sleek sculpted lace-up ankle boots, her latest are the Brown Suede Ankle Boots. They offer an amazing 4 boot suedes to choose from and multiple cuddly toppers in wool, fur and animal prints. Metals are easily changed between Gold and Silver, and there is even a lace version of the topper and a customization menu that allows for more personal choices for the various parts.

These remind me of the completely impractical winter boots I always wanted in high school... walking in 3 feet of slush in a stiletto heel isn't really wise, but for SL and it's oh so mild winter ahead, I can't think of a more perfect choice to go with all those practical and sexy sweaters, dresses and denims. I threw on my favorite tights from Persona and the amazing belted dress from AOHARU (comes with a stand alone belt option making it a great accessory investment too!). A bit cute, a bunch sexy, a great value with so many options!

The Stuff; Redgrave Skin, Mirai Hair, AOHURA Dress & Belt, Persona Tights.

StyleCard: Bax Boots & Bijou

Sometimes the right shoe and the right outfit seem to materialize at just the right second, and in this case it was worth staying up late to get them blogged. Bax Coen one of my all time favorite boot creators dropped her latest on me tonight, just as I saw the newness at Bijou come up on the feed. Off I dashed to get this amazing and versatile Phantom Dance outfit, and I couldn't be more pleased with the finished look.

Bax's Black Patent Ankle Boots have the most wonderful shape and texturing. They are an easy cross over for cutting edge fashion looks as well as those more intimate styles that involve latex, rubber and a whole lot of sexy. As with her previously released white version, you get a full range of colour customizing options in a convenient HUD format, and size and AO options too. One of my favorite features of the boot is the colorable optional lace topper, worked well with this look when worn two ways.

The Phantom Dance set comes with all the requisite layers and then some, it was my pick of the new releases because between the jacket, pants and ruffled blouse there are so many mix and match possibilities here. I added a few great bangles from DeLa and the amazing Hunting Cap Hair from Argrace (currently at Hair Fair).

Visit Bax Boots main store to get a pair of these hot things!

The Stuff; Giusia Skin, Argrace Hat/Hair, Bijou Outfit, Bangles from DeLa.
