Desire Boot by Gos

On Your Toes - Desire by Gos

The Desire Ankle Boot is the latest mesh boot from Gos and it is stunning. With a simple click, Desire can go from a seemingly tame leather ankle boot to an edgy, cap-toed boot with a ton of attitude.  Available in four colors - Crimson, Black, Chocolate, and White - the Fatpack option is the way to go as usual. The Fatpack allows you a ton of possibilities to completely customize your boot as it gives you all four boot color options.

On Your Toes - Desire by Gos

The HUD and menu system on Desire allows the toe cap, sole, heel, and metal accents to be changed with a simple click. The unrigged pair is resizable via the HUD, allowing the wearer to both scale the boot and individually stretch the boot in each direction as needed. Desire includes rigged, standard sized versions as well as a non-rigged version that is resizeable, if needed.

Devi Booties by Maitreya

On Your Toes: Devi by Maitreya

Earlier today, Maitreya released the mesh Devi Bootie, a short laced boot. The detailing on these boots is incredible, down to the stitched seam on the back of the boot. The leather texture is similar to that from the previously released Radical Boot, but since it's a shorter boot, I think the leather is less "oh my gosh" real. This is Maitreya's third mesh shoe, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

On Your Toes: Devi by Maitreya

Devi is available in 11 lush leathers - Rose, Brown, Faded Teal, Aubergine, Olive, Plum, Rust, Redwood, Chamoisee, Black, and Oil. Purchase individually, or as a fatpack, and get all standard sizes XS through L.

SLink Astrid

AstridCollage1

Siddean Munro of SLink has really been treating us with her mesh creations. The latest is the Astrid Boot, a gorgeous ankle boot featuring a high stiletto heel and criss-crossed straps. Astrid is available in 16 beautiful colors/textures, but I recommend springing for the fatpack because it is scripted to allow for mixing and matching all 16 colors. This makes for a ton of combinations that will go with virtually anything!

AstridCollage2

Astrid includes a HUD that allows for resize and color change on the fatpack. These boots are just gorgeous, versatile and a great addition to your SL wardrobe. As mesh, the Astrid Boots require Viewer 3 or another viewer that supports mesh.

Visit SLink to check out Astrid and the rest of the SLink collection.

BeeBee's a SLinky Goddess

Siddean Munro of SLink gets better and better with every release. Her latest, the BeeBee ankle boots are, in a word, spectacular.

Today, Siddean released a special festive limited edition version of red & green, with a white fur trim and some little jingle bells. I'm not normally a holiday type of girl, but one look at these made me change my mind. Now, I already had the fatpack of these luscious leather cuties, because I hightailed it right over as soon as I got my notice of their existence, but I needed the festive ones too!

I love all of the interesting features of these, like the strap going under the heels and the zipper tab. The suede and the leather textures are amazingly done, and Siddean tells me besides (legitimately) sourcing the actual textures, the entire rest is all hand-done.

Each colour is L$650 each, and if you're like me and prefer to buy fatpacks where possible (it's a sickness, an awesome sickness), it's only $2900, which is slightly more than 50% off! The Xmas edition is only $150.

Prestigious Boots!

Hey all!

I'm so happy that I took the plunge and asked Anessa if she'd ever want me to write for On Your Toes, because as a long time fan of both shoes and SL, it's perfect :-) Anessa has been doing some amazing blogposts for the SL Footwear Expo, which is ending tonight at 8pm SLT (if I'm home from dinner out :P). In any case, hi!

Ever since I returned to SL a few months ago, I've been in love with my Bax prestige boots. The second I saw them for the first time, my heart skipped a beat, and it didn't start up regularly again until I had not only bought the fatpack, but also put on every colour and tried all the options.

And then the other day I heard a rumour, saw a picture, got wind of some news: they're coming out in suede! Of course, I was very excited, even though many many amazing shoes have come out in the past few weeks (gawd, I love shoe fair!).

I IM'd Bax as soon as she asked for a group invite to rez something new at the fair, breathlessly asking if it was true, if she was putting out the suede boots at the fair, and all I got was an enigmatic "maybe". So I went instead to stalk her at the mainstore. I saw her and one of her very nice CSR's there, fitting boots for customers. I stood around, taking in the ambience, and then Bax very kindly offered me some review copies, *and* let me send my shoe fair partner-in-crime some boots too!

Enough chatter. More boots!

As you can see, the boots are in some fairly luscious colours. At first, I wondered where my favourites were from the leathers pack, but then I came to realize that it only makes sense to have some completely new colours! I love all the rich tones, and the suede texture is pretty perfect as well.

So for the numbers: each colour package - black, brown, green, purple and blue - is L$875. If your favourite colour is fatpack, then that will cost only L$3499. But that's a screaming good deal when you think about it. There are four tones in each colour pack, and the extras alone are hugely amazing. If you put these on at the store, then you can be fitted by one of their experts, or do it yourself because it's super easy. Once that's done, you can put on any other pair you happened to have bought, and it remembers your fitting! A blue menu box will come up and ask you if you want to use the same fitting parameters, and then fit them automatically for you. It's absolutely amazing. Bax was telling me that she was updating the leather boots to have this feature as well, so if you have yet to see or buy these boots, there's no better time.

StyleCard: LeLutka Chloe Ankle Boots

Minnu Palen's recent footwear release, the Chloe Ankle Boot, is one of my favorite ankle boots so far this season. Simply put, I have always been a sucker for detail, and with every release from the LeLutka collection I see more and more of the eye catching detail and sense of style that a shoe lover finds hard to resist. The boots are great high heeled ankle booties, that combine rhinestone trim and even a teeny LeLutka zipper pull, to make them all sorts of fantastic. Look for these at LeLutka in multiple colors including solids and delicious tone on tone brights.

The Stuff;

Shoes: LeLutka, Chloe Ankle Boots, Black.

Skin: Gala Phoenix, Sundust FREX, Dark, Doe 1.

Hair: Lamb, Say, Butterfinger.

Dress: Madsy, Anna MiniDress, Black.

StyleCard: Milk Motion

I happened upon these cute ankle boots while shopping today, and I just had to share them. The 'My Worn Ankle Boots' by Milk Motion are one of four styles of boots available at this great shop. Worn leather with a softly pointed toe and and a turned down leather cuff with stud like metal dots in silver, pewter and gold make these a fun style for pairing with casual Fall looks. Demos are available to try, the set of boots includes two variations, so hop over to Milk Motion for a closer look.

Twice the Toes - Digit Darkes and Truth

I think Anessa was right! It's been a shoe explosion the past few days! So I'm fast tracking a bit and double posting some of the new stuff that's come across my attention. First (above) is the Desire Heel from Digit Darkes. On Your Toes had featured Digit's other "Toe Shoe" the Lotus Heels earlier in the week. Like the Lotus these are gorgeous shoes. Super high heal with leather and metal hardware, that is also color changing from brown & black leather and gold, silver, & bronze metal.  I really like the look of these prim toes, and the overall shape is yummy. I did have a bit more trouble matching my skin tone, and found that it was easier for me to match these shoes with my Belleza skin than my Redgrave. Like Anessa said in her first review, there is a notecard provided that gives suggestions with tones, and there also is a sock pack included that helps as well. The shading around the sides is darker than the rest of the foot, which could change depending on your lighting and viewer. This shoe also utilizes invisaprims on the legs to hide those ghastly natural SL feet, so you won't be able to use your cuffs with these shoes that use the same attach point.

Visit Digit Darkes Online and Inworld!

On a side note, while reading plurks the other day, Alaska M. had a really great idea. She asked whether shoe creators who make shoes with sculpted feet were making copies of them without the feet as well. I love that idea, just because even though I personally love the cute little piggies, I know there are others out there who aren't in favor of them, I'd hate to see those people not get a chance to wear some of these great looking shoes! Just an idea. :)

So my other treasure is the Sophia Boots from Truth (along with some really cute Truth hair too). The detail on the buckle of these ankle boots are fabulous, these are just the type of boots that boot lovers need for the upcoming warmer months! I think they'd look great with capris, shorts, skirts, and whatever suits your fancy! Available in several colors, these are worth a look!

Other stuff: Picture 1: Redgrave/Belleza skin, Lamb hair,  Canimal top, No Label pants, Digit Darkes-Desire Heel. Picture 2: TRUTH Sophia Boots,  [MG fashion] Rita denim dress, Truth Hair,  Redgrave skin.

Leather & Lace

OK, easy post. Why? Well that is pretty simple really, great slouchy ankle boots in 10 great colors, with or without lace toppers... and they are from Lya. Miss Lyanis Sin has delivered me a special Valentine's treat, the Valentina Boots are her latest release, and as I have said before, she just keeps getting better. More detail, more realism, great colors and the optional lace topper are all great features of these short boots. These cute casual boots are perfect with skinny legged denim or a hot mini skirt, the silver accent ring and straps are a great touch. These adjust by hand very easily to get an almost perfectly seamless look between lower leg and foot attachments.

The boots come in the 10 luscious shades above, and when you buy them you get both the lace and non-lace calf piece, of special note this weekend the Red & Pink versions are available at 50% off at the Retrology Location! I styled my Silver ones up with a monochromatic combo of greys, from So Many Styles, the baggy sweater tank and silver embellished denims. A silver tube top from Garbage , and amazingly detailed accessories from UZURI, then the adorned hippie doo Lovetones hair from Lamb complete the look.

Visit the Lya Main Store or Retrology Location to pick these up!

And Then There Was Pink!

Bax Coen has cornered the market on irresistible ankle boots. The suede leather and patent... topped with lace, or festooned with fur - they are slick and sexy, whether your focus is fashion or fetish... these are some really hot boots. No surprise that Bax has served up a Valentine sized treat with her latest edition, the Patent Pink Ankle Boot.

These laced up beauties come with 3 shade options; Baby Pink, Hot Pink, and Purple... to get your heart a pounding. Featured on this set are the many optional toppers and customizable laces, eyelets, metals, heel colors... it's one stop shopping for fun and funky mash-ups. The latest feature is really quite clever, Bax has included a 'fixed feet' option, that corrects awkward foot movement. Additionally if it suits you, there are the optional sounds and AOs included for your walking pleasure.

Get your dose of Pink at Bax Boots!

Who Me?

Well it happens, footwear is dropped on me in folders and some days I get multiple folders, others none at all, so when Adam n Eve creator Damen Gorilla passed me the folder marked 'Adam n Eve Boots - Anessa' I simply assumed he was handing the footwear out to multiple reviewers and had named the folders so he could keep track of his deliveries. It was not until I saw the Fashion Planet feed this morning that it dawned on me that the boots were actually named Anessa (brilliant choice btw), so how could I not walk around in them today all happy-like?

So here they are, a perfectly nice ankle boot with an oversized buckle for the all important fashion forward look (I have it on good authority that these are a RL sensation by a very big name in footwear at the moment, so I would not be surprised to see a few variations popping up). The Adam n Eve boots come in multiple shades of suede with contrast white piping, and great neutral leathers with the added special versions with red/black mixed combinations. (you can click on the image for a super jumbo close-up)

I wore mine with this fantastic new set from Bijou, I just can't stay out of that place! I simply added the multi-strand black pearls from Paper Couture and a favorite bangle from Fresh Baked Goods along with my new hair from TRUTH (on sale now!). I never get tired of that red and black combination.

Be sure and visit Adam n Eve to see the full range of shades for the Anessa Boots!

Thanks for the nod, Damen! :)

StyleCard: Skin Flicks Reptile Boots

Mavis McGettigan of Skin Flicks was kind enough to send me a few of the newly released footwear items that can be found in the store, among them these Sally Reptile Boots. A nicely textured tall skinny boot with a slightly funkier foot shape and full inside zip. A cute and wearable boot, my only concern was the no mod upper (correct me if I am wrong), that required me to wear my modified skinnier shape. If you don't have a problem modifying your shape for the sake of footwear then these are a nice choice, the texture is really dimensional looking and quite appealing.

To complete this look I included items from other recent faves, en svale is a real gem of a shop, both the charcoal cardigan and houndstooth capris slacks are from there. The belt just released from COCO is amazingly well designed, and because it is mod I was able to make an alternate version with silver metals, so do not be deterred by the gold you see in the store... if you are at all competent with retexturing selected prims it's a pretty quick fix. The hair is the delicious ::69:: freebie from the recent CSR Rally, love the look and the attached beret.

Check out the footwear at Skin Flicks for these and other great items.

The Stuff; Redgrave Skin, ::69:: Hair (includes hat), en svale Cardigan & Pants, COCO Belt.

StyleCard: REDGRAVE Girls' Biker Boots

Sometimes a girl just needs a change of attitude, and today my attitude was inspired by a song and some great boots. The boots arrived by way of Viola Leigh, the talented little dynamo who is producing footwear at a breakneck rate lately... and don't I love it! The REDGRAVE Girls' Biker Boots are just about my favorite grunged up high heeled boot to date. Well worn leather is as sexy as ever in this well shaped boot, I love the unbuckled and flopped open upper boot with it's fleecy little lining. They are the type of boot you don't want to take off, I assure you, and the early reaction I got when wearing these was huge... a must have boot in the Black or Brown, and tempting in the additional shades; Caramel, Olive, Sand & White. My humble pal Jonny reviewed the men's version here. (click pics for biggie size.)

I styled it up with the new Bijou 'Vain' set, it has a hint of great military style and sculpted short pants under a system skirt/hooded jacket combo. I added my own touches, damaged fishnet stockings from Dutch Touch (part of PuK set), Cachet Gloves, and the Tweed Flat Cap from The Hat Shop. Skin is Redgrave and Hair is Maitreya. All poses are from Oberon's Trick, a great little find. Oh, and the song is this one here, catchy huh?

StyleCard: COCO

Occasionally I do bonehead things, like the time I messaged COCO Creator Cocoro Lemon to inform her that there was a problem with her sculpties... only to discover the problem was because I had not yet updated my SL viewer. But as soon as I did, I was very impressed by the quality of her work, amazing little ski vests and dresses, I am really a big fan. When I saw the update indicating a footwear release, well, you know I had to run right over and grab a pair of COCO's Suede Booties in blue and the adorable BritGirl Yellow Plaid Suit I had been eyeing for a while.

The Booties are very well crafted and textured, lovely rich suede, and they come in a nice range of equally inviting shades. Nice rounded toes and an over sized buckle on the ankle, I really liked the pop of contrast piping on the edges for extra style. The suit itself can be worn all together as I have done here, or the layers can be worn separately. The prim collar and roll cuffs are, again, very nicely crafted. I added the just released hat/hair from Muism and the Saphyre Gem Ring (not visible) from Paper Couture for a little bit of sparkle.

Check out COCO, you won't regret it!

StyleCard: Kitties Lair London Boots

It was an amazing and busy weekend, but I did manage to sneak in a little bit of shopping. One of my stops was to Kitties Lair where I often find great footwear, sure enough a new release from the lovely Babette Ultsch, the London Boots. The London Boots are a pumped up ankle boot with a great rolled down cuff that features and inside zip and an outside row of buttons, all balancing on the skinniest of stilettos. I also like the look of the silver tipped toe. They come in all the basic shades, and some nice fabrications; leather, patent & textile, so it's possible to find something to suit your tastes.

My other big find of the weekend was shoparmidi.com, which had some great new Armidi goodies not available in the store. My top fave was the Polo Dress, this one in Black and Grey Argyle... very easy to wear and great prim work. The belt from the Lulu set by MichaMi seemed to fit well and the woolen tights from Persona added warmth. I added bracelets, the stacked bangles from Caroline's and my new favorite little accessory shop U&R Dogs Dorothy Bracelet.

Check out Kitties Lair for these great looking boots.

Sexy in Red

Another sexy ankle boot release from Bax Coen's Bax Boots, this time in hot Red Patent. If you are familiar with these amazing boots and all their options and features you will be pleased to know they all turn up again in this boot. For those who may have missed it, I am referring to the customizable aspects of the boot... metals, laces, trims, toppers, sizing, and so on. I have to thank Azufr3 Catteneo for his assistance in creating the fantastic image to accompany this blog post, apparently candy apple red patent leather can inspire a man to do all sorts of things.

Bax has more treats in store for us, a Winter Party is planned for December 5, 2008 at 4PM SLT, at Bax's Main Store. Get your Boots there, and join the fun!

The Stuff; (In top photo) Tutu skirt by Simone, Stockings by Jaywalk. 'Boots on Ice' flyer by Zoe Demar.

StyleCard: DeLa Lulu

Kuranosuke Kamachi is on a roll, her ever growing line of shoes and clothing never fail to impress. Today marks the opening of her own sim, and so I felt it appropriate to share a little more of what I love about DeLa. The Lulu dress and boots are full of color, texture and shape, and oh yes, bows! This sculpted mini-dress has a delicious bubble of a skirt, and a fun dimensional bow on the chest. The texture is of a multi-colour flecked wool knit, and so it lends itself well to a great pair of tights worn underneath, these are the tintable freebies from VG Republic (G.L.A.M.).

The Lulu boots are a fun leg-warmer inspired pair, all slouchy and shapely, and yes a couple more bows here for good measure (an un-bowed version is included in the pack). I like the black sole and heel, really completes the look. As for my accessories, the color change fabulousness from Fresh Baked Goods is perfect here. Earrings are 'aya V' and the hair is ETD, and yes get to that sale!

Visit DeLa at it's new home sim opening today, and take in the wonderful Fashion Show presented by Timeless Agency that kicks off at 10 am SLT!

StyleCard: J's Boots

Well boot season has officially begun, and despite the fact that I am more often in stilettos, it's hard not to fall for these amazing boots from J's. The 'real toes' of the summer have made their way into some funky laced up boots. The J's Real Toe 2-Way Boots are JB Gazov's most recent release, and they can be worn a variety of ways, all of which are pretty irresistible. Not only do these come with the adorable prim toes that can be tinted to match your skin, you can select from an assortment of toenail polish options too, but these clever boots do double duty with a closed version of the boot, and a version without the prim toes if you are attached to showing off those sexy avatar feet instead.

I decided to go with a simple but stylish monochromatic look for this style, starting with Maitreya's Jade hair with color changing knit hat. The scarf also has a color change option and comes in 2 lengths from :sey. The Mirli sweater is from Maitreya, and it's open back is a nice compliment to the open toed boots. Some simple Armidi rolled capri jeans, some bangles from Armidi and Caroline's seal the deal.

And now for a little preview, these are the boots that every little cowgirl and cowgirl wannabe has to have. These J's Fringe Cowgirl Boots are soon to be released, and I really love these... moving flexi fringes that echo your every move, line dancing or otherwise, too adorable! I am so digging with my new vintage jeans from Muism, and this asymmetric and totally wonderful jacket from M&R Cupcakes. Hair/Hat is ETD on sale now! (click on images to enlarge)

Be sure and visit J's soon!

Biddle Boots - Pirate Boots

Just can never have enough boots, especially ones that have the nifty resizer script that makes editing challenged people like myself spend less time shrinking and destroying shoe shapes :).
