Primary Education

Yes, another round of Collabor88 has begun, and no doubt it will be tough rezzing and TPing for a little while... but what better time to take a quick look at some great things you may have missed during the last round, which should be showing up in these designers' main stores shortly.

 

This look started with the shoes from Milk Motion, add-ons for my beloved Slink feet, are all disco heaven with glitter and velvet platforms. The satiny and soft Emery silk dress with elbow length sleeves is sassy and bright in tomato red. I love the play of primary colors in the dress, shoes and accessories. There is something so simple about the contrast between warm and cool, a classic combination that is elevated with the great accessories from LaGyo.

 

The hair is from Exile, another great rigged mesh style from the new collection of HUD controlled color change goodness, the skin... the very delicious Candy from Glam Affair, these items can be found at The Arcade via gatcha. Manicures for fingers and toes are from Flair, it is always so much fun matching my outfits from this generous collection of colors and patterns.  Hope you enjoy another great month of Linden gobbling fun at Collabor88 and The Arcade! Got Candy?

Then I'm your girl! Actually, this sugar overdose was inspired by the Blogger Challenge issued by Unapologetic Second Life Fashion Blog, 50 Shades of Sexy. For the next 50 weeks I will try to feature one post inspired by the theme of the week, and aren't you lucky... you have to tolerate it as best you can. Week one's assignment is 'Cotton Candy', and that is right up my alley, I am in love with pink; and bows, and cute stuff, and sweet stuff! So here it is, please take a bite, the details are below.

 

Blue Christmas

Just a bit of fun for a quiet day in SL. I love the look of layering, and wearing a bit of sparkle at this time of year. The new rigged mesh Tuxedo Blazers from MichaMi are just begging to be part of a special outfit, I was anxious to see if they could be layered over other rigged mesh garments, one of the trickier elements of mesh when you mix and match items from other designers.

I found the MichaMi blazer just perfect to wear over this sexy cocktail dress from ColdLogic, if blue or sparkle isn't your thing there are a few other great festive tones available. The hair is the spectacular new release from Exile at the current round of My Attic at The Deck. In addition to being a special half  up-do, you get the optional tiara style hair comb, that can be texture changed to a bunch of great colors, and even hand tinted to match whatever you choose. Perfect with the style from Exile, but can also be worn with other hair styles... for 95L (the standing price for everything at the event), the hair accessory alone is worth the price.

More layers, and more sparkle... the fantastic mini from Milk Motion works equally well with the MichaMi Tuxedo Blazer, and the bright blue shade was a great match. The little silk bralette from ISON is a great layering look for party looks, it is also tintable, and can be made a bit darker or given a hint of blue because it is an 'almost' black color.

 

With the sparkle factor left to the skirt alone, it is easy to up the bling factor with accessories like the ones from Maxi Gossamer, normally I try and stay away from wearing a whole set of jewelry at once, but party and formal wear are the big exception, I even added the feathery little purse. Turn up the glitter factor with the new eye make-ups from Chelle, these ones are from the Together for Sway event, great value and for a good cause too!  Have a great Holiday, all the details are below...

 

StyleCard: Milk Motion

I happened upon these cute ankle boots while shopping today, and I just had to share them. The 'My Worn Ankle Boots' by Milk Motion are one of four styles of boots available at this great shop. Worn leather with a softly pointed toe and and a turned down leather cuff with stud like metal dots in silver, pewter and gold make these a fun style for pairing with casual Fall looks.
