Fireworks

 

 

A dazzling batik print on a beautiful Baiastice dress is the inspiration for this post, the streaks of color reminding me of the fireworks we enjoy this first week of July. So perfectly matched with the latest from Redgrave, the Deborah shoes, with color customization, the dress and shoes create a summery holiday mood. Life Takes A Bow

The excitement of this year's Fashion For Life is nearing its end, if you are like me you have explored the sims, spent more than you planned to and are enjoying your new collection of exclusives, limited edition colors and surprise finds. One of the unexpected delights of FFL 2013 comes from !dM (deviousMind) by Chandra Meehan, the fantastic Lilac edition of Taunting Leda, an underbust corset style gown, with a lace and a sparkling variation, a neck collar and a fluffy boa shoulder piece. The gown can be worn with or without pasties, and they can be worn on a normal avy shape or with your Lolas Tangos.

 

The stunning accessories are also a FFL 2013 item, they are by Lazuri and called Avenue Spring Pastels Set, I am wearing them in a platinum and lavender, but they are texture change for both metals and gems, with dozens of unique combinations. Color change accessories are always something to get excited about and a great buy if you can get them at Fashion For Life and support Relay For Life too. Life Is Full Of Surprises

There is so much that can be said about color, why we love the ones we do, why some colors make us feel joyful when we wear them, and why some have the power to transform us. Green is one of those colors that speaks to us of life, and regeneration, and possibility. At FFL 2013, Kunglers has offered up this remarkable little cocktail dress, in the most gorgeous shade of green. As if that weren't enough to excite you, they have also given us this artfully crafted statement necklace, alive with flowers and blooms and richly colored accents. Such a wonderful surprise for the eyes, and worthy of such a great cause.

 

These incredible shoes are the very latest from the Gos Boutique Collection, the Angelina Peeptoe wraps around the foot in fine fashion, leather and criss crossing laces all atop a sweet platform base. They are elegant and edgy at the same time, and depending on the color you wear they can make a real impact, or simply accent what you are wearing. So fabulous!

Full Of Life

The evening gowns of Mami Jewell have always caught my eye, she seems to magically combine sheer flexi prim waterfalls with sleek fitted satin confections. AZUL has embraced the FFL 2013 spirit and released several exclusive colors of some of her incredible gowns, I chose to share this breathtaking bronze creation, Marie, with its ruffled collar and sheer panel that will show off your lovely decolletage area. It has full length opera style gloves, but I chose to stick with my rigged mesh hands, creating the look of a detached sleeve. A divine dress for an excellent cause.

Powdered Sugar

Hard to believe it is already the fourth week of 50 Shades of Sexy, the Blogger Challenge issued by Unapologetic Second Life Fashion Blog. This week the theme was 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', and once again I am offering up my loosest translation of the theme, this one achieved by playing a little word association; sugar... powdered sugar... powder blue, see where we are going with this? All dolled up in the sweetest powder blue lingerie I could find, a few extra bows in my hair and my mission is accomplished. Warm To This

I got such a 'happy joy joy' kind of feeling slipping on these new mesh jewelry pieces from Zaara. In the past Zaara's designs have always thrilled me, something about the contrast between the perfect scale of her pieces, that manage to be chunky and delicate at the same time, with rich stones and designs inspired by not only East Indian tradition, but also modern designs for every modern SL girl. These latest releases are a fantastic mesh creation, the Atiriya accessories combine gorgeous semi precious stones, rich metals and flush set crystals scattered across the unique accent baubles.

 

As soon as I put on the Atiriya set in the gorgeous Carnelian and gold, I fell instantly in love with the warm feeling of these accessories. I decided to pair them up with a look that included some of the great new releases from Baiastice; Lira Shoes and Claudia Handbags, and the floaty little skirt from Tee*fy in a rich chocolaty color, and the final clothing item was the Ava jacket from Maitreya in an unexpected Mustard shade. All together the look was warm, and combined some great color and texture.

Living In Color

Just when I had resigned myself to the upcoming Winter doldrums, two fantastic designers made me do a 180, with incredible brights and fun designs. I was inspired to play up a hint of Burlesque, maybe it was the frothy fluffy fur hats and collars by Maxi Gossamer, out today at Collabor88, or the circa 1980s brights of Maitreya Gold's latest release, Liaison.

 

I do love a fun hat, and the colors of these seemed just perfect to inject a little energy rush into my blog post. Maxi Gossamer didn't stop with a great hat, she gave us the collars too, they can certainly be worn together or split up for a little less 'look', and as always Maxi maximizes the value of her creations by offering us 2 shades per pack, that is two hats and two collars for that great Collabor88 price. I was so lucky to get in a grab them the first day.

 

Another designer that consistently gives you more than one look per purchase is Maitreya, especially when it comes to items in her Maitreya Gold footwear series. Once again Onyx LeShelle gives us the 'Transformers' of shoes, it is a pump with a super sexy slim metal heel, but it also can be an ankle strap pump, or one with a knit half sock (with or without the ankle strap), and the colors range from great neutrals to neon brights. You also get a healthy range of sock colors and even a selection of sole colors. Such great value!

Fall Romance

Sometimes the best romance is the promise of romance yet to come. As Fall hits its stride in SL it means that the Fall 2012 Collections are ripe for the harvest, and Celoe is poised to release a truly wonderful collection in the next few days. I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek and gravitated instantly to the beautiful Poppy Dress, in many solid shades and prints inspired by the glory of galaxies far far away. What better way to share these gowns than surrounded by falling leaves and the sunlight dancing between them as they fall.
