The Best in SL™

I was asked a while back to do a fashion article for BOSL Magazine, and was allowed free reign to write about any topic I wished, and do my own photography. I really can't claim to know a whole lot about fashion in general, but about shoes... well, that I know! So I decided to do a round up of some of my favorites from the past year or so (and keep in mind that this was done some weeks ago), broken up into a few choice categories. It's pretty self explanatory, shoe names and creators are listed at the end of this post. Apologies if I missed anything, but I think I was able to cover a whole lot here. Click the images to expand to big size.

I am looking forward to seeing what 2009 holds in store for these feet.... Happy New Year!

Honestly, I don't understand the fascination with Stiletto Moody shoes. They're overpriced and overscripted, the styles are not particularly innovative or interesting, and the texture/prim work isn't any better than a lot of other people's...never mind Stiletto Moody's arrogant - and patently false - claims of having 'introduced' sculpty shoes in SL.

Yet, somehow, not only are the the top pick on your list, but you felt the need to put them in two other categories as well? Makes no sense to me.

Nice post, however I'm a bit disappointed by the presnece of JE*REPUBLIC-Jewel Ankle Boots. The main sculpts were ripped from us and and some lower quality primwork was added. The original is called *DL* Victoria shoes and is sold in Dirty Lynx and on xStreet. A pitty such people get the attention. On the other hand it's the SecondLife as we kow it :) I wish OnYourToes all the best in the new year, and maybe a luckier choice of products to review.

Sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner...

Thank you Francesca, Cajsa & Nadja.

Ann, you are entitled to your opinion, and I am certain you are not alone, this is however my list, and these are my personal picks.

Loki, I welcome your feedback, unfortunately it is impossible to be aware of all situations where content theft is suspected, and unless vigilant vendors take it upon themselves to educate consumers, my only method of operating is to assume that content is free and clear. As it is I stand by my choices, and should you have additional information please contact me privately.
