It is almost here... and I expect it has already arrived for many of you. What a great year 2012 was for SL fashion, and in particular mesh fashion. So many new favorites, that I decided to pull together one final post for the year, showing off some of my personal faves. Wishing you and yours the very best in 2013!

Go On, Sparkle!

On Your Toes Blog: Go On, Sparkle!

It seems like sequins have been a running theme for me lately, and not without reason. Yes those little light catching disks are fabulous, and festive, and a great way to glam up your holiday outfits... but they are also pretty fun. Sequins that catch the light and actually sparkle? That is something I just had to wear!

On Your Toes Blog: Go On, Sparkle!

!gO! just released a colorful collection of glitzy dresses, perfect timing if you haven't settled on something for New Years Eve yet. Besides being rigged mesh, and sexy like most slinky shift dresses are, this one will knock you flat when you see the animated glitter texture it possesses! I have seen some 'glittery' animated outfits before, but this one has a really fun and more realistic look to it.

On Your Toes Blog: Go On, Sparkle!

The new release also included some ruffled bolero jackets, perfect to accompany you on your night out, but equally great if you wore them over a skimpy top and skinny jeans. Impressively high heels like these from Redgrave also would work well with jeans or your sexiest dresses. I kept the hair short and slicked and added a fun oversized bow, a dollarbie item from Y&R, that I hand tinted to get a richer golden shade.

Get your sparkle on and check out a demo at !gO!, complete details below...

On Why I Still Love Flexi

On Your Toes: On Why I Still Love Flexi

It is very simple really... there is nothing quite like a swishy swirly party dress, layers of fabric that sway and flow around me while I dance, the light floaty effortlessly animated way a flexi skirt wiggles while I walk. In short it makes me smile and feel girly like nothing else in my inventory.

On Your Toes: On Why I Still Love Flexi

I fell in love with this dress from Icing, the suggestion of sparkle and tulle is just so whimsical, and the soft lavender shade is perfect for when I am having a 'pretty pretty princess' moment. The sweet little tiara hair comb from Caroline's is a must have for every little girl at heart, perched atop the LeLutka partial updo it feels regal and casual at the same time.

On Your Toes: On Why I Still Love Flexi

Finally, because every girl needs her accessories, I added simple drop earrings and a bow ring from Maxi Gossamer, a real favorite of mine, and the equally bow-tastic clutch from Magic Nook. The shoes that deserve a solid mention, have been on my feet for about a week it seems, the Alex Strap shoes from G Field, the lavender shade is included as part of the 'Stylish 5' pack that also includes basic black, bright lipstick red, a great blue, and a very wearable grey - a purchase that I am so glad to have made recently.

Blue Christmas

On Your Toes Blog: Blue Christmas

Just a bit of fun for a quiet day in SL. I love the look of layering, and wearing a bit of sparkle at this time of year. The new rigged mesh Tuxedo Blazers from MichaMi are just begging to be part of a special outfit, I was anxious to see if they could be layered over other rigged mesh garments, one of the trickier elements of mesh when you mix and match items from other designers.

On Your Toes Blog: Blue Christmas

I found the MichaMi blazer just perfect to wear over this sexy cocktail dress from ColdLogic, if blue or sparkle isn't your thing there are a few other great festive tones available. The hair is the spectacular new release from Exile at the current round of My Attic at The Deck. In addition to being a special half  up-do, you get the optional tiara style hair comb, that can be texture changed to a bunch of great colors, and even hand tinted to match whatever you choose. Perfect with the style from Exile, but can also be worn with other hair styles... for 95L (the standing price for everything at the event), the hair accessory alone is worth the price.

On Your Toes Blog: Blue Christmas

More layers, and more sparkle... the fantastic mini from Milk Motion works equally well with the MichaMi Tuxedo Blazer, and the bright blue shade was a great match. The little silk bralette from ISON is a great layering look for party looks, it is also tintable, and can be made a bit darker or given a hint of blue because it is an 'almost' black color.

On Your Toes Blog: Blue Christmas

With the sparkle factor left to the skirt alone, it is easy to up the bling factor with accessories like the ones from Maxi Gossamer, normally I try and stay away from wearing a whole set of jewelry at once, but party and formal wear are the big exception, I even added the feathery little purse. Turn up the glitter factor with the new eye make-ups from Chelle, these ones are from the Together for Sway event, great value and for a good cause too!  Have a great Holiday, all the details are below...

Merry and Bright

On Your Toes Blog: Merry and Bright

You know that tiny thrill you get when you find something in SL that bears your avatar name? A hair, a skin, a dress... I confess I have been fortunate enough to be honored with such tributes in the past, but unexpectedly happening upon something with your name is always a joy. I happened to discover such a creation today while browsing contacts photos on flickr, there it was, a festive little hat from Bliss Couture, a spray of white loops of ribbon adorned with a delicate Poinsettia.

On Your Toes Blog: Merry and Bright

A hat this delightful deserves some attention, so I paired it with one of the lovely new gowns from Baiastice, a rich deep red dress with plenty of holiday sparkle, lovely in floor length mesh. The newly released sandals from Redgrave, are elegant and subtle in white, but come with 12 color options.

On Your Toes Blog: Merry and Bright

The warmth of yellow gold accessories combined with bright white pearls, like the ones in this utterly irresistible set from Cae, were a perfect final touch for my earrings, necklace, ring and bracelet. If you are still seeking the perfect gift for the ones you adore, I highly recommend visiting Cae and browsing the many lovely sets she has created. Any girl would be happy to find these in her holiday stocking.

Wear Me Out

On Your Toes Blog: Wear Me Out

A blog post featuring a couple of fun looks, perfect to get me through the weekend, and a little plea for all of you fashion fans... I am so in love with the recent mesh releases from Baiastice, I keep coming back to them and wearing them again and again, which is a big deal, because I have so many things to choose from. I am mixing up some items from FaMESHed and a find from the 'With Love' Hunt, hairs from Argrace; new and old, and even a freshly released jacket from Erratic that is really two.

On Your Toes Blog: Wear Me Out

This first look has the feel of something you might want to wear to a holiday cocktail party, do something unexpected and stay away from dresses and skirts and go for some classic shorts paired with tall boots. The shorts, of course, are from House of Fox, and I have blogged them before, paired with the new richly textured Emma Jacket from Baiastice, and the amazing Monaco Nights Necklace from Maxi Gossamer, they become suitable party wear (both at the current round of FaMESHed). The clutch is a Just Design goody from the 'With Love' Hunt,  and the new mesh hat with hair from Argrace makes me so happy, I love the versatility of a color change hat!

On Your Toes Blog: Wear Me Out

More Argrace was the starting point for the second look, though this style is an older one, I like to think this outfit would be great for a little holiday shopping or visiting with friends. If you are in the market for a great leather jacket, this newly released Vanity Jacket from Erratic does the trick, double time, you get both an open and closed version, it looks buttery soft and fits really well! The new mesh gloves from Baiastice are a great add on in blue, and the Celoe Chardonnay pants in the same hue add color and contrast to the orangey Pecan shade of the jacket. The bag is from DDL, they have a nice little selection of handbags and satchels, worth a look.

On Your Toes Blog: Wear Me Out

A special shoutout for Dutch Touch, a wonderful store that will be closing at the end of this month. I strongly urge you to make a final visit and be sure to pick-up some of the great system tops, lingerie and hosiery, these items hold up amazingly well and the quality is fantastic. Keep in mind that mesh on mesh layering can be tricky, but throwing on a great detailed under-piece like the Lizz Top I am wearing under my jacket, is a great option, and Iki Ikarus has a really great selection available!

Devil In Red

On Your Toes Blog: Devil In Red

Sometimes from the safety of our skyboxes, it is easy to forget that there is a lot more going on in SL than new releases and fashion events. It has been a long time since I ventured out and took in some of the art installations and galleries, but after seeing a few snapshots of The Tower on flickr, I decided it was something I needed to check out for myself.

On Your Toes Blog: Devil In Red

I happened to be wearing the dramatic new dress from Fanatik, the dress with dangerous looking spikes across the bustline, and more of that fitted Fanatik leather mesh-wear that I love, and the new Maitreya Gold Liaison shoes in a hot Cherry color. One of Magika's newest hairs, Intended, seemed like a great style to wear with the look, it is swept back over the shoulders ensuring that it doesn't compete with or get tangled up in the spikes of my dress.

On Your Toes Blog: Devil In Red

For a more dramatic lip I am wearing the Saga lips from LAQ with my League Jen Skin, they have such a great rich color and perfect pout. Accessories from Maxi Gossamer, like the Rejuvenated Stitched Heart Necklace and Barcelona Bracelet, always add an extra dimension of shape and texture.

Living In Color

On Your Toes Blog: Living In Color

Just when I had resigned myself to the upcoming Winter doldrums, two fantastic designers made me do a 180, with incredible brights and fun designs. I was inspired to play up a hint of Burlesque, maybe it was the frothy fluffy fur hats and collars by Maxi Gossamer, out today at Collabor88, or the circa 1980s brights of Maitreya Gold's latest release, Liaison.

On Your Toes Blog: Living In Color

I do love a fun hat, and the colors of these seemed just perfect to inject a little energy rush into my blog post. Maxi Gossamer didn't stop with a great hat, she gave us the collars too, they can certainly be worn together or split up for a little less 'look', and as always Maxi maximizes the value of her creations by offering us 2 shades per pack, that is two hats and two collars for that great Collabor88 price. I was so lucky to get in a grab them the first day.

On Your Toes Blog: Living In Color

Another designer that consistently gives you more than one look per purchase is Maitreya, especially when it comes to items in her Maitreya Gold footwear series. Once again Onyx LeShelle gives us the 'Transformers' of shoes, it is a pump with a super sexy slim metal heel, but it also can be an ankle strap pump, or one with a knit half sock (with or without the ankle strap), and the colors range from great neutrals to neon brights. You also get a healthy range of sock colors and even a selection of sole colors. Such great value!

Liquid Launch

On Your Toes Blog: Liquid Launch

I will be the first to admit that I don't fully understand the mechanics of rigged mesh, but I am always excited to see the innovative ways that designers are finding to make mesh products more customer friendly. There has been a lot of talk about deformers and similar methods to make mesh fit more body types, now Redgrave has released some new jeans created using a method that they have called Liquid Mesh, essentially eliminating the need for multi-sizes of mesh per item, and allowing the product to fit most avatars with minimal tweaking.

On Your Toes Blog: Liquid Launch

Though I can't speak to anyone else's experience with this technology, I found that the one size of Liquid mesh Metallic Jeans fit me really well, and that taking advantage of the technology I was able to use the 'foot size' slider to slightly widen the cuff at the bottom of the jeans so it sat better over my new shoes, also from Redgrave. The Keira2 Ankle Boots are a sexy leather bootie with a platform base and spike of a heel, I love the look and especially the teardrop shaped peep-toe opening at the front. The boots can be customized with three leather colors and mix and match parts.

On Your Toes Blog: Liquid Launch

I am also showcasing more accessories from the wonderful Cae collection, and would you believe that this amazing necklace and earrings are only 10L as part of the 'With Love... Hunt' going on right now? The stunning Flourish Set is color change to let you decide between silver and gold, and even multiple pearl colors set into the pieces. My sleek updo is from TuTy's, I have been wanting this one for some time and I am so glad I grabbed it to go with this sexy casual look.

Hot In Chocolate

On Your Toes Blog: Hot In Chocolate

I am totally in love with my outfit today, and had to share the newness with you all. I started out with the latest from MichaMi, Kiia a sexy fitted dress, another original mesh creation from Milla Michinaga, in a yummy brown shade. It has great seaming detail on the sides and just the right amount of natural looking creasing on the arms and body of the dress. The Ella hair is one of the newest releases from LeLutka, Thora Charron has once again created a must have coif, it is sleek and has great height on top and shiny waves. You can see the effort that goes into making these hairs in the way that the textures and shine are customized for each individual style, something special.

On Your Toes Blog: Hot In Chocolate

Today marks the beginning of the With Love Hunt, in its 3rd year. This is not a free hunt, instead items are priced at a very affordable 10L each. This necklace and ring from Kunglers is a must have! The deep coppery color of the metal and the faceted stones, with marbling of greens and blues are such a great compliment to the rich color of the dress. The Pagaia Vintage Bangle from Fanatik is equally sculptural and interesting, the patina of this cuff bracelet makes it a stand out accessory.

On Your Toes Blog: Hot In Chocolate

Finally it is about hands and feet, and by that I mean my Slink Rigged Mesh hands, they really are one of the things in my inventory that I would not want to live without, and something new for my feet. The boots, well, the boots are just gorgeous, they are my first purchase from JD (Just Design), and the rich cocoa color of the used leather pair was something I was missing from my current tall boot collection. They have nice detailed accents, like the JD signature metal buckles and color change straps. You get rigged and non-rigged versions of these Alstar Boots, and even some rigged mesh leggings that work perfectly with the boots... a nice touch from this designer.

Eclectic Hues

On Your Toes Blog: Eclectic Hues

Before I sink my fashion teeth into the depths of winter wear I wanted one last big splash with color to make my inner Rainbow Brite smile! As it happens, today marks a great new footwear release from Celoe, the Snare Boots, and they are pure love... great colors, great style, and exceptional quality as per usual. I can never have enough booties this time of year, and they look great over tights, with leggings, and skirts too. There is just so much going on in SL the next few weeks; The With Love Hunt, Peace On Earth Hunt, and the new round of gatcha madness is about to begin at The Arcade. I have tried to include some special items from these events in my post, enjoy... and enjoy the season!

On Your Toes Blog: Eclectic Hues

My current hair fixation is still DeLa, something about these silky long rigged mesh styles makes me all happy, and I love that they are mod and can be tinted for perfect color matching with my hairbase. Not everyone loves a hairbase, but I do... and the one on the League Jen skins with its cute widows peak is fantastic. I would be hopeless without my Slink mesh hands, I really have never taken them off since I got them. I am trying out some new eyes this week, I love the look of the latest peepers from IKON, they have great depth and sparkle and so many color options.

On Your Toes Blog: Eclectic Hues

The purses showcased here are perfection! The Secret Store continues to knock it out of the park with their contribution to The Arcade, these Tiny Satchels are just too cute, and the variety of colors and patterns will make them a must have item for sure. Maxi Gossamer has also created a great item for the Peace On Earth Hunt, a collection of long chains and chokers in gold and silver, I am wearing a few strands here. The denim pencil skirts are about to be released at DCNY, and the additional clothing items from Belgravia, Tee*fy, FANATIK and Maitreya round out this fun series of looks.

It's Always 3 O'Clock Somewhere

It's Always 3 O'Clock Somewhere

Seems as though my internal clock has a mind of its own, more often than not I am wide awake at three in the morning, tossing and turning and forced to decide whether to get out of bed and find something to do, or force my eyes to close and hope for the best.

It's Always 3 O'Clock Somewhere

In the middle of a late Autumn rain storm the choice is much easier, throw on a trench coat and boots, grab an umbrella and get outside for a bit of fresh chilled air and to trample through a few puddles. Inevitably it dawns on me that there is something else I am looking for, or someone else.

It's Always 3 O'Clock Somewhere

Quickly ducking into the shelter of the nearest phone booth to make that call and hoping that my someone will answer, and welcome me in to his warm apartment, and warmer bed. There is nothing more perfect that spending the wee hours of morning listening to the rain beat down on the terrace in the arms of someone special.

It's Always 3 O'Clock Somewhere

Caught up in the moment I can't help but make my way back down to the street for just a few seconds, to feel the cool rain on my skin and dip a toe into a waiting puddle. To think, if it weren't for three o'clock in the morning I'd be sleeping through another romantic rainy night.

This little bit of fiction was inspired by the latest releases from League and Baiastice. The League Trench Coat is perfect for rainy nights and chilly days, while the Aida Dress from Baiastice, released specially at the final installment of FAIR, and inspired by the time 3 a.m., is a sexy slip of a dress... more specifically perfect for romantic moments with its satiny finish and sexy curve hugging shape. For complete information from Head to Toes read on...

Slightly Frosted

On Your Toes Blog: Slightly Frosted

Is it that time of year already? Even if the first taste of Winter hasn't reached your locale yet, you can rest assured that it is coming on quickly in SL. People have started rezzing their log cabins and covering the ground with snow, and why not? What better way is there to enjoy the beginning of blustery SL Fashion than sprinkling a little snow all around and making the best of it all.

I am one of those who rushed right out and found an excuse to bundle up. It all started with a windy walk that found me without a coat, but with loads of new releases. Leverocci's Belgravia just had a massive season release, included among the good were this Bluet satiny ruffled blouse and sexy Foxglove boots, the color palette is rich and luxurious, like the wine color I selected. The recently released Decoy Yori skirt is a great little mini, worn over some black Maitreya tights, and a windblown skinny scarf (also Maitreya), that matches the great editorial hairstyle from LeLutka. The cute little clutch with wrist strap is from Baiastice, and oldie from the 'B Attitude' collection.

On Your Toes Blog: Slightly Frosted

Time to bundle up with a new coat from !gO! a new to me label that has some great rigged mesh pieces. This furry jacket has a generous fluffy collar and a suede waist tie. The jacket comes in some great colors, and is a great way to warm up your look. The furry Cosack hat is another special item from Belgravia, I wore it with the LeLutka Marie hair, and by downsizing the hair I was able to fit it well under the hat. Other items worn here are the Milano trousers from Baiastice, Maitreya Devi boots, some beaded necklaces and a generous sized ring from Maxi Gossamer, and a cute plum colored bag from the old Cachet collection.

Black & White... and Red

On Your Toes Blog: Black & White... and Red

Just a quick post today, wanting to show off the sexy new shoes from Redgrave. The Lilly Shoes come in 3 shades of latex, all in a mix and match HUD that will let you enjoy your shoes in black, cream and bright red. They are a super high heel on a platform base, the platform itself features a black insert that remains constant, and crisscrossing laces that tie in a nice bow. I started off by wearing them in red with an all white outfit from erratic. The hair, Sharlee from Ploom, is one of their newest dipped styles, brown hair with red dipped ends that I have accented here with a few photoshop tricks.

On Your Toes Blog: Black & White... and Red

The black version of the Lilly Shoes provided a great opportunity to pull together some bits and pieces of black clothing that I have been collecting over the past few weeks. From the cute flouncy 'tap pants' from R2, found at the current Collabor88, to the sleek and interesting bralette from ISON, I kept it sexy but covered, adding a few items from epoque, like the super puffy sleeved Vinyl Jacket and a leather collar with black metal accents. The hair, Hanna, another newer style from Ploom has playful twists of hair that echoed the look of the jacket perfectly. Small details like the earrings and chunky ring from Maxi Gossamer, and the group gift clutch from HANDverk also fit the bill for this look.

Pretty Princess

On Your Toes Blog: Pretty Princess

Just a quick look at a few very pretty things that I am wearing today. Firstly, the very delicate and intricate jewelry from EarthStones, Faye Crystal Jewelry Set in Quartz, the metal is changeable between silver and gold tones - making this doubly special and a perfect compliment to an elegant look with its raw quartz crystal drops. Hats are such a great under utilized accessory for most of us, I was TPd to the 50% off hat sale at Bliss Couture and bought a number of really sensational and fun toppers like this one, called Mezzo.

On Your Toes Blog: Pretty Princess

The delicately pale blue dress, another item from the Celoe Fall 2012 Collection, is a beautiful evening gown, something I don't wear often in SL anymore, but this one, a lovely rigged mesh gown was something special and well worth buying. Even if you have no real reason to dress up in something elegant, sometimes it feels nice to be that pretty princess.

A Slinking Feeling

What a pleasure it is, slipping into a beautiful pair of shoes and finding they fit you perfectly. I defy Cinderella herself to claim the perfection that is Slink's Rigged Mesh Feet and the shoes created expressly for them. Slink has recently released the Indra Heels as an expansion to the shoes designed for the Medium height feet. Siddean Munro has created a fashion forward suede option with slender heels, open design and thin straps that magically hold it all together, all this with the modern addition of a rugged rubber fore-sole. The kind of shoe that any city girl could wear day to night.

On Your Toes Blog: A Slinking Feeling

For my day look I used a few of the items found at the latest rendition of The Dressing Room Blue, namely the chic little Gabry Jacket by Baiastice and the wicker Elephant Bag from TokiD. The daytime look is rounded out with the sleek new Milano Trousers, also from Baiastice, and the luxurious golden toned dipped feather necklace from League. It would be remiss of me not to mention in detail the great new hair releases from LeLutka today, both are seen in this post, the first style is Nook, with the headwrap in a multitude of shades and prints, I borrowed a page from Sasy Scarborough over at Sasypants Blog, and 'selected the face' of the wrap only to hand tint from the nude color to a slightly more golden tone to match my outfit. Be sure you make a copy of the style before attempting this trick. The Indra shoes come in many shades and colors, with colorable parts to allow for customization, though you only see a peek of them here it is obvious that the colors are perfectly suited for my look.

On Your Toes Blog: A Slinking Feeling

For an evening style, or perhaps one I'd save for a cocktail party or dinner date, I hopped into the TDRB release from Kunglers, the #65 Dress, that has the appeal of animal print and more neutral tones. The zebra print Indra Heels are the bonus style you get when purchasing the fatpack, and as you can see they work flawlessly with this dress, a pleasure to slip on over my Slink mesh feet. The hair is LeLutka Lana, such a great style, sexy length while allowing for the shoulders to remain unhindered, perfect for showing off accessories or delicate necklines of your favorite clothing. The addition of accessories by Maxi Gossamer, the Tarifa earrings and bracelets are among her latest releases at the current round of Collabor88, add more perfect detail.

On Your Toes Blog: A Slinking Feeling

The Slink Indra Heels come in so many gorgeous colors, here are just a sampling of the combinations you can achieve, the straps and the heels can all be colored individually, the body of the shoe will be in your color of purchase, or in the case of the fatpack, all colors, you can also choose to wear the three parts in one unified color, the choice will be yours. The colors range from earthy neutrals, to bright and lively, to classic shades.
