Happy Birthday Girl

Friday the 13th has a whole new meaning when it falls on your Birthday... and today is mine! I really only had a couple wishes for my Birthday, so far one has come true, and the other is looking good too. If I had a third wish, and my greedy little heart was willing to admit it, it would be to have one of my favorite designers name something Anessa... and wouldn't you know it - TRUTH has made my third wish come true!

I am proudly wearing the new Anessa Hair from TRUTH, a sweepingly romantic long style with layered bangs parted at the forehead, a twisted knot at the back, and lots of soft length all the way down to the lower back. The finishing touch is a delicate laurel headband, with some lovely color change options. These latest styles from TRUTH also include hair texture HUDs, these have clever palettes that make it easy to choose the shade you like.

I am wearing some of the latest from Baiastice, found at FaMeshed, a romantic long skirt and sexy embellished halter, these both have remarkable details that just beg to be photographed. The ring and pendant, new from Maxi Gossamer at Collabor88, and a straw bag from Saikin, make this a perfect look for a fun day of exploring in SL. (complete outfit details below.)

Sun Blocked

When it comes to catching some rays, the best policy is always to protect your skin. A hat, some sunglasses, and a bit of sunscreen goes a long way to protecting those gorgeous SL skins. How fitting is it that so many recent releases seem to cater to the sunny escape, at least the ones at My Attic, and the great new Gogo from LeLutka with its big floppy sunhat.

 

You can just feel the warmth, sitting atop the Towel prop from W. Winx & Flair, with a fun sunset print, the same print as the great Slink Enhanced Hand Add-Ons from Flair, both are available at the current round of My Attic at The Deck, as are the shades by Amala! The dress by Maitreya has a great sarong feel, that makes it a more formal version of a beach cover-up.

The Shoes featured in this post are more absolutely gorgeous original mesh creations designed by Belgravia which are designed to work with the  equally wonderful Slink feet. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am to wear these shoes, and to know that at the heart of this collaboration, and that is what it is when two designers come together to create great truly original content,  is the ingenuity that Second Life should celebrate. Pumpkin Spice

Orange has never been a favorite color, but sometimes I like to shake things up by challenging myself to work with the unfamiliar. I decided to embrace orange and combine it with graphic shapes and prints to create a series of looks that I call Pumpkin Spice.

For my first look I played with the scale of a dot covered outerwear coat by Saikin over tailored shorts by House of Fox, I loved the way the texture of the coat was layered shades of orange, rust and black in multiple dot sizes. The boots are a brand new release from Babette Ultsch over at Kitties Lair, if you have never checked out the footwear she designs you are missing a real treat, her latest are rigged mesh and the perfect fit over my socks by Maitreya.

 

I took advantage of some great orangey accessories, the flower by Mon Tissu was intended for the lapel, but works great in my hair too! I added some pretty pearly jewelry by Donna Flora and grabbed a bag by DDL. Never underestimate the power of a great bag in SL... I can't ever have enough of them!

 

For the second look I fell in love with the graphic print of the Graph It Up babydoll dress, and Flat Cube earrings, both by Maylee Oh from The Secret Store. More great footwear from Kitties Lair here, the Bulldog Booties have a great modern shape and look sassy over socks. Additional accessories here are by Redgrave, a great new watch, Chained Desire in Silver, and some sexy shades called Laurita, both fit in with the simplicity of this traffic stopping ensemble.



Lastly, I classed it up with this sexy mesh June Dress from Celoe, and necklace and earrings by Caroline's, out today at Cinema. The houndstooth booties, Hunter by Gos, add the eyecatching print this outfit needed, worn here with simple black tights, they strike a balance between the bright orange of the dress and the intricate pattern of the boots, neither steal the show. Skins for this post are by League, the Jen skins have great make-ups and lip options, and one of my favorite hairbases that are part of the skin, they made it possible for me to mix and match hair pieces from booN - a collection of bits and pieces, bangs and ponies, that can give you a one of a kind look, I have never regretted buying them.
